About the host
Hosted by Rick sparkes
We enjoy meeting our guests and telling them about the buildings history. We offer an in-depth tour of the property. It covers the history of the building, the Hall's contribution to modern architecture and their connection to Frank Lloyd Wright’s Fallingwater and ends in the main building with light refreshments and appetizers. The tour usually last 1.5 - 2 hours and costs $35 per person.
Why they chose this property
We moved here to save these unique pieces of organic modern architecture and bring it back to life after years of neglect. Our ultimate goal was to open it up to allow other guests to come, stay and experience its unique architecture.
What makes this property unique
The cottage seamlessly blends into the hillside, offering breathtaking views of the valley and a stone quarry-turned-wooded grotto offers an escape to a relaxing hammock. Step inside and be greeted by a cozy yet modern atmosphere appointed with its mid-century furnishings and artwork, featuring a fully equipped kitchen, a living area with a central fireplace and a dramatic ship's prow window, perfect for curling up with a book in the Eames chair.
