Welcome to our grandmothers home - Mary Anne’s Place, a charming historic cottage offering the perfect country getaway. Nestled in a working fruit orchard, this quaint white cottage provides an authentic vintage character, perfect for unplugging and unwinding.
Inside, you'll find a cozy atmosphere with: * 3 beds: one queen and 2 twin w/ exceptional bedding for a good nights rest * Hardwood floors and comfortable couches * Sunny windows with picturesque views of fruit trees, basalt canyon walls, and the Snake River * A well-equipped kitchen ready for your home-cooked meals * Bedrooms appointed with cozy beds and charming antiques
For entertainment, we offer a low-tech experience that provides a welcome break from the everyday: * A collection of books and games * A small TV with a VHS player and plenty of classic movies
The home is minutes to: * Clear Lakes Golf Course * Miracle and Banbury Hot Springs * Blue Heart Springs * Ritter Island State Park * Box Canyon * Holesinsky Winery * Balanced Rock
The location is in the country and rural–expect dirt, flying bugs, spiders, and stickers. We work diligently to keep things neat and clean, yet being a working farm in a canyon, there is bound to be the unexpected. Removing shoes upon entering the home is greatly appreciated.
The Magic Valley is truly enchanting.

We enjoyed staying at the cottage in Filer. Every thing was neat and clean. The place reminded us of our grandparents homes. The AC kept the living room comfortable but we had to use a fan to move air into the bedroom, which worked out well. The lawn was well maintained.
Beautiful surroundings to rest and celebrate our anniversary. Close to all the exploring we had planned. Very comfortable bed and a well stocked kitchen for all our cooking needs.
This charming home brings us back again and again. Between cherry picking, fishing in Hagerman and exploring the Snake River, we are grateful the family keeps this heirloom open for the public to rent.
We had a wonderful stay at Mary Anne’s place! The home was clean and we loved reading about all the history. We enjoyed walks and meals outside. Robin was an amazing host and very responsive and helpful throughout our stay!

Thanks for staying with us and taking advantage of the nearby outdoor adventures!
We really enjoyed this historic and beautiful home. Can't wait to come back during fruit season!!!!!! Owner was very responsive, and provided everything we would need and more! Nice treat from them ~ a homemade jam! River just across the road, and a beautiful orchard.

Thanks Kathy. We appreciate you staying with us and will welcome you again.
Very nice old house like the one my wife & I grew up in. It also reminded me of the first house I bought and renovated. Nice scenery, deer, raccoons, quail nearby. Definitely booking for next year and hope to bring my dog as well.
Take a break and prepare to unwind in this Lovely vintage home in a working Orchard. I used to pick apples here and came back to this area to visit. I was amazed that I would be able to rent this place with beauty all around you.
We had a very nice stay in this home. You can see and hear Niagara Springs falls across the Snake River. The little creek through the property and falls at the top of the ridge are a nice addition. They have a great fruit stand at the entrance that was just opening on our stay.I appreciate that the home is tastefully decorated with older, family-related items, not just typical Pier 1 decor. The kitchen was well appointed and furnishings were all comfortable.Robin was very responsive to our questions and we felt very welcome while there.
Mary Anne's Orchard Cottage was the perfect place for us to stay while visiting family in the area!
The house is packed with character and history (which is wonderfully described in the information book prepared for guests). We loved the period construction (late 1940s), furniture, decor, and old photos of the home and family from long ago.
The location is fantastic! Nestled in a working orchard with over a hundred year history within the same family. A very short walk to the Snake River. A small creek cascades down through the property which, along with the waterfall up the hill, provides a soothing lullaby accompanied by the distant roar of Niagra Springs directly across the canyon. Views are spectacular all around!
The property is clean and comfortable. Specifically proven by air conditioning that more than adequately kept us cool in a week of triple digit highs and very warm nights. Everything you need is stocked (including very, very important bug repellent for walks along the road by the river).
If you are looking for a stay at "Grandma's house" in the canyon, do not hesitate to book this property. You will be very glad you did!
