We had a great time exploring Kearney and spending some time at the cottage. We enjoyed relaxing, baking, time in the backyard, using the hot tub and sauna, as well as peaceful moment by the dock and using the trails in the town. The cottage was clean, well maintained, cozy, and nicely set up. All utilities worked well, and there was an abundance of dishes to use in the kitchen to prepare meals. Nicole, was welcoming and fast to respond to messages. It was a great get away!

This was a beautiful family friendly cottage, we loved that even though it felt new it still had the rustic cottage feel to it. It was lovely to be able to bring our little ones and have fun with them during the day, but at night have adult time and be able to relax in the sauna, hot tub and use the fire pit under the nice string lights. 10/10 communication with the host, Nicole was so helpful and was always quick with responses if we needed anything. The cottage was a decent place to stay, but there are a few areas where the host could improve the guest experience.First, if there are any doors that guests are not supposed to open, this should be clearly mentioned on the doors themselves to avoid confusion or misunderstandings. Clear instructions would make things much easier for guests.Second, all additional charges should be clearly communicated upfront before the booking or stay, so guests know exactly what to expect and there are no surprises.Lastly, communication could be handled better. Instead of relying solely on Vrbo messaging, the host should communicate directly with guests when discussing important matters or resolving concerns. The messaging system is not always convenient or effective for timely communication.Overall, clearer instructions, transparency about extra charges, and more direct communication would significantly improve the experience for future guests.

Thank you for your feedback. The guests were clearly advised before their stay that laundry facilities were not available. Despite this, they kept entering a locked private utility room, then removed Kearney's personal laundry, and used the facilities without permission. They were also dishonest about their reasons for unlocking and entering the utility room, as well as the actual number of adult guests joining them during their stay. The additional $55 charge was a result of this unauthorized use, not an undisclosed booking fee, and remains unpaid. Unfortunately, the above guests also damaged the shower control ( to turn on the hot and cold ) without reporting it, leaving the shower only temporarily usable until plumbing repairs can be arranged. All important communication was documented through Vrbo to ensure transparency and protect both parties. I also generously provided a complimentary three-hour late checkout and 15 minutes before the end of this extended checkout, the guest attempted to contact me privately. I had preferred to keep all correspondence within Vrbo for proper documentation at that time. I believe future guests and hosts deserve to understand the full circumstances.

We had a wonderful winter getaway at this cozy chalet. Its was spacious, clean, nicely decorated, and easy access to enjoy. The sauna and hot tub were amazing and offered our family the quiet, rest and relaxation we were looking for. HIghly recommend!
