We really enjoyed this property. Conveniently located to the airport in a safe, quiet, and quaint community. The hosts were extremely responsive to all our communication. We would stay here again if we traveled to Chicago and wanted that part of town!

Every thing was great, our only small concern was the first night we were surprised to run into the downstairs renter not knowing there was one! But no worries!

Thank you for staying with us and for the positive feedback! We’re glad you enjoyed your stay. We understand that unexpectedly encountering another resident can be a surprise, and we appreciate you mentioning it. The listing does note that there is a separate garden apartment with a long-term resident, but we’ll take your feedback as a reminder to make that information even more noticeable for future guests. Thanks again for being a great guest and specially for leaving our place neat and clean. Well will gladly host you again!

Had a wonderful stay at Esteban and Pat's property! The home was clean and quiet, a great place to rest after a busy day. It came stocked with all the amenities I could think of, from private parking to a coffee machine to a washer/dryer for clothes. Esteban and Pat proactively communicated at important moments and were flexible within reason about arrival times. This location definitely feels separate from the proper city (could be good or bad depending on what you're looking for), but the surrounding neighborhood is still pleasant and walkable if you need to visit a convenience store or grab a bite to eat. I recommend the stay!

beautiful weekend, beautiful home

We arrived to an immaculate home in a quiet neighborhood. Our hosts were responsive of our questions and requests. Plenty of accommodations like towels, soap, shampoo, dishes, pots and pans. The table under the peach tree was relaxing. There are stores (Walgreens and an amish store among others) within walking distance. We really enjoyed our stay and will request the same place in the future.

Nice little neighborhood

Pat and Esteban have a nice house in a nice neighborhood. It was close to the things we had going in Chicago and in the Western suburbs. The place was very clean and our hosts were very responsive to our needs....especially when the tornado sirens went off in the neighborhood. Would definitely recommend this house to anyone. It's a lot cheaper than houses closer to downtown. It was perfect for me and my wife, 2 kids, son-in-law, and 2 grandkids.

Nice Clean Home, Safe Neighborhood, Easy Parking & Great Location, BUT...

Our stay in this Franklin Park home was mostly enjoyable. The house was spotless and well-equipped with everything we needed for the weekend: outstanding parking, a great location, multiple TVs, and comfortable beds. This partially renovated older property has great potential. The biggest issue with our stay was discovering another individual residing at the property during our stay in the lower garden-level apartment. The description did not "clearly" state that the property would be shared, making the lack of privacy very uncomfortable for our family. "Main floor has its own front and back door entrances with electronic keylock deadbolts each. Everything is self-contained on the main floor; nothing is shared with a garden unit." We did not read this to mean "shared space," more like basement storage. Not only were we unaware of the lower level resident, it was maddening trying to sleep with the humming of a washer & dryer below the master bedroom and a buzzer going off at 12:45 a.m.I hate writing negative comments, but I felt compelled to speak up so that future renters won't be alarmed when strangers enter the back of the house and head towards the basement in the middle of the night.

Hello Brian, Thank you for your feedback and our apologies for the confusion on the listing description. We'll clarify the occupancy paragraph to avoid any future confusions. As for the buzzing laundry dryer, it was definitely bad timing for the use of this appliance. This was the first time and most definitely the las time we will use this appliance at midnight. Thank you.
