Two minute's walk from the beach or basin, and situated on a corner lot, this 4 bedroom cape with three season porch and outside eating area with gas grill has been artfully appointed without losing that summer cottage charm. Comfort Cottage offers Plum Island ambiance with all the comforts of home!

This four-bedroom that sleeps 8 and is exactly what you need for a family retreat!

Comfort Cottage maintains the traditional pine cabinet eat in kitchen and is fully appointed and appliances (everything from a microwave or crock pot to a submersible blender). The main house furniture has modern coastal charm and all beds have brand new mattresses and linens. One bedroom upstairs has a queen bed and the other bedroom has two twin beds. The two additional bedrooms on the main level also have queen beds.

Enjoy your summer nights on the airy porch or outside under the stars.

Although you are away, stay connected with WiFi and streaming music and video through the flat screen.

The island has everything you need. However, if you must head off island, city amenities abound in Newburyport, which include shopping, farm to table restaurants, bars with live music, performing art centers, free concerts and much more.

Walk to beach & Parker River Wildlife Refuge.

This is a fantastic hideaway for a weekend or long lazy week in the summer and is in a wonderful quiet tucked away location.

Great Plum Island home

We enjoyed our stay at the Comfort Cottage. Everything we needed was on site. The place was surprisingly big! The kids loved having their own bedrooms and the sun room was a great place for morning coffee and evening boardgames. We would definitely stay there again.

We had a wonderful time. Location was perfect. The island lost power due to an accident which caused some issues with the house power when we first arrived. The owner was quick to respond and to take care of the issue.

This cottage is in an amazing area and was perfect for our group of 8. Ed was even there when we arrived and answered our questions about the cottage and area. His cottage had everything and then some! On this island you will feel absolutely safe and will love the friendliness of everyone you meet. The nearby beach was very peaceful, no big crowds at all. Very scenic region, would want to stay longer next time!

Cottage is exactly as listed. We loved the three season porch, great place to play games if it rains and enjoy the cool breeze in the mornings. We liked the outdoor seating but would have liked a little more lighting to enjoy it longer into the evening. Edward was extremely responsive and helpful when we needed. Our only suggestion would be an outside shower to get off all the sand, but we managed with the hose provided.

Wonderful Plum Island cottage!

Our family (3 teenagers) had a perfect week at this cottage for our first stay on Plum Island. The cottage was perfect for our size family with plenty of room for everyone. We especially loved sitting in the front room. We enjoyed grilling and sitting outside. Kitchen was well appointed and had everything we needed. The location couldn’t have been better. Easy walk to a gorgeous beach and equally easy walk to a couple of fun restaurants, ice cream, and provisions. All communication with Ed was timely and professional. We fell in love with the low key lifestyle on Plum Island and would return to this cottage in a heartbeat. Highly recommend.

Convenience and Comfort

It is an understatement to say that Ed thought of everything. The kitchen was fully equipped from dishes to cookware to spices, plenty of towels, extra throw blankets, and board games. The beds were sooo comfortable, and so was the living room furniture. We booked Ed's place for a girls weekend before my sister's wedding (technically a bachelorette, but not wild), and everyone was so happy, rested, and felt at home there. We had many laughs around the homey kitchen table, and sat in the sun that shined into the living room each morning with our coffee and tea. We had 6 ladies in our group and the house was perfect for our group size. Ed was also very knowledgeable about the area, and checked in a few times. We would definitely go back!

Perfect little gem

We booked last minute and had no idea what to expect. The little cottage and surrounding neighborhood exceeded our expectations. Proximity to beach and the many things to do on not so great beach days were pluses. We enjoyed our stay and our adult children now want to make our stay a yearly tradition. How lucky is Ed to have such a wonderful space to enjoy and share. Ed make our check in and check out seamless. We felt comfortable and at home the entire ire week…..wishing it was longer. Valentine Family Reunion
