About this property

This cozy cottage provides all the comforts of home. One bedroom with a pull out sofa in the living room. Spacious 3 piece bath. Guests may easily prepare their meals either in the fully equipped kitchen or on the bbq under the shade of an elm tree in the front yard. Enjoy the beach by taking a very short walk through property of home owner to the lake. The shore is shared with the main residence however you will have space to enjoy your own corner of the property with lawn chairs. For your entertainment a flat screen tv (satellite), wifi, board games and books are provided. This location is within walking distance to all the amenities of the village and only a one hour drive to many other popular communities on the island. Baddeck is the beginning and end of the infamous Cabot Trail with its breath taking scenery, hiking trails and sandy beaches.

Cozy cottage within walking distance to Baddeck's main street

Cozy, quaint, and very well-equipped housekeeping cottage. Very nicely decorated with many thoughtful touches. (Tea bags, shampoo, bath soap, hairdryer, and a night light) Only negative was uncomfortable living room furniture. We moved one of the lamps from the bedroom to the table so that we could see to play cards as we visited in autumn.

Served us well!

With three adults it was a bit crowed but all in all we spent very little time there as we traveled and were sight seeing during the day. It was very close to the highway so very handy and easy get to . We would stay there again! It was cute and clean so very nice in that regard. Thank you!

Wonderful small house

This is a tiny home that is wonderfully furnished with all the right touches that indicate an owner who has wonderful taste and doesn’t mind sharing that with renters. Except for an uncomfortable futon style couch, the place was wonderful. The bed was comfortable, the sheets were soft and silky, the pillows fluffy, and the towels were terrific. The place was immaculate. The owner was super responsive to our communications and she extended herself to make sure we were well taken care of. The weather was terrible so we couldn’t take advantage of the private part of the lakeside that she prepared for her renters, but it was pretty when we visited it. Our only complaint is that the house is located a very short distance from one of the main roads in this adorable town of Baddeck, and that detracted from the experience for us. We come from a very crowded part of the US and we treasure some aloneness, but that wasn’t here. But having said that, the upside is that you could walk to town and what a town it is! We had a blast there…went to a Ceilidh concert a that brought the roof down and we could walk back and forth. Wonderful. Couldn’t do that at home, for sure…..so as long as you are okay with the smallness of this terrific place and the location near the road (it got very quiet by early evening as this is a small, small town)….this place rocks!

Ideal location

Perfect location for accessing all that Cape Breton has to offer. Hiking, museums, sailing and kayaking on Bras d'Or Lake. Plus nice restaurants right in Baddeck within walking distance. Cottage has everything needed for cooking/grilling to eat in. Comfortable place to stay.

Nice Cottage

First trip to Camp Brenton. The cottage was great for my wife and I. Close to all things in Baddeck. It was clean, comfortable and well supplied. I would recommend this cottage.
