Casa Fresca is situated in the charming village of Deccio di Brancoli, close to stunning Lucca and offers an oasis of tranquility. The classic stone house with large porch, beautiful decoration and lovely rooms, magnificent views and relaxing jacuzzi will make Casa Fresca a wonderful place to stay during your Tuscan holiday!

Around the house you will find a large outdoor dining table, several terraces on different levels and comfortable garden chairs to relax in. The garden is also a great spot for children to play, offers majestic views and includes a 7-person jacuzzi!

The kitchen has a cozy fireplace and is well equipped with modern facilities (dishwasher, microwave, refrigerator/freezer, oven and a 4 burner gas stove), a dining table and plenty of utensils for whipping up your own Italian meal! An outside barbecue is at your disposal to grill a perfectly done Bistecca Fiorentina.

In the attractive living room, you’ll find a large dining table, a comfortable sofa and a TV with Netflix. Also, you’ll find (board) games for young and old. Furthermore, free Wi-Fi internet is at your disposal. The four tastefully decorated bedrooms on the first floor all have a private bathroom with a shower. The bedrooms have the following layout:

bedroom 4 – two single beds

A baby crib can be placed in bedroom 1 or 2 on request. A high chair and baby bath are available as well.

The house can be heated during the day by a modern pellet stove (that burns on compressed wood pellets). This stove heats the radiators in the living room, kitchen, corridor and bedrooms. In addition, the house can be heated by a big fireplace located in the kitchen. Furthermore, there’s an outside pizza oven! Wood pellets for the stove and wood for the pizza oven are available.

Deccio di Brancoli is a very small village on a hill 25 minutes from Lucca City Centre by car. The road to the house is sometimes a bit tight and curvy but perfectly paved and safe.

Great Holiday get away

We enjoyed our Family Gathering and New Year celebration. The house was ideal, with a great setup and a functional kitchen. The views are spectacular.

Sehr schönes Ferienhaus in den Bergen

Es hat alles einwandfrei geklappt. Das Haus ist sehr gut ausgestattet. An die kurvige Anfahrt in den Bergen gewöhnt man sich, vor allem mit dem Rad 😉.

Bella casa nella natura vicino Lucca

Casa molto bella in una frazione di Lucca molto isolata e immersa nella natura. Abbiamo trascorso qualche giorno in due famiglie nel periodo di Capodanno. La cucina è molto attrezzata ed è completa di tutti gli elettrodomestici. Le camere e il soggiorno sono molto ampi e come da descrizione. L'unica pecca di questo soggiorno è che al nostro arrivo siamo stati accolti in una casa fredda e non riscaldata. Abbiamo raggiunto una temperatura gradevole il giorno successivo. Bastava davvero poco per un'accoglienza migliore.

Belle maison au calme !

Maison très agréable à vivre, correspondant globalement à l'annonce, superbement située et très calme. Nous étions 7 adultes. A signaler, une route d'accès très sinueuse et très étroite sur un peu plus de 8 km ; il faut compter 20 min par trajet et se montrer très prudent. Par ailleurs, la maison peut ne pas être tout à fait adaptée pour de jeunes enfants (terrasses et escaliers extérieurs peu sécurisés). Sur les 4 chambres équipées de petites salles d'eau, 2 sont plus petites avec un mobilier insuffisant pour des adultes (peu de place pour poser les affaires). Eugenia, la personne chargée de l'accueil et du suivi, s'est montrée très chaleureuse, disponible et réactive tout au long du séjour, nous donnant toutes les infos et conseils demandés. Une adresse que nous recommanderions malgré les petits inconvénients !

Great Villa, fantastic mix between classic and modern features!

Amazing, spacious villa. Breathtaking views and incredibly peaceful. It has plenty of period features but has a great mix of modern comforts, making it a relaxing stay. The road up to the villa is quite narrow and tight, if your hiring a car definitely recommend a smaller vehicle for a more relaxing drive! Would definitely love to stop again, amazing for the kids, and only a short drive to Lucca!

Schönes und ruhig gelegenes Haus, mit allem was man braucht :-)

Casa Fresca eignet sich herrvoragend für einen Familienurlaub. Wir waren zwei Familien mit 8 Personen. Bis auf ein Zimmer haben alle Zimmer WC/Bad im Zimmer selbst und somit hat jeder seinen eigenen Bereich. Sonst ist auch alles da: Von der Küche mit guter Ausstattung (nur der Toaster fehlt) über WiFi und Terasse nebst Jacuzzi. Hier kann man es entspannt aushalten. Als wir hier waren, hatten wir Höchsttemperaturen von 40 °C. Im Haus lagen die Temperaturen jedoch deutlich niedriger. Zu Erwähnen wäre auch der Support durch Eugenia, welche sofort mit Rat und Tat zur Seite stand, wenn es ein Thema gab (z.B. Stromausfall wegen Wartungsarbeiten am öffentl. Netz). Der einzige Wermutstropfen ist die doch lange, enge und kurvenreiche Auffahrt, die zwar schon am zweiten Tag ihren Schrecken verloren hat, aber sich doch ganz schön zieht, bis man oben am Haus angekommen ist. Alles in allem eine voll zu empfehlende Location :-)

Peace & Quiet!

We spent 5 days Oct 1-6th. We were up on top of the mountain! The evenings were perfectly cool to enjoy a nice fire and a dip in the hot tub. The grocery store is at the bottom of the mountain, but once you've stocked up, the house has everything else you need! It's close proximity to Lucca, Florence, Pisa and the beach made for nice outings during the day. Then back home to cook a lovely dinner to enjoy on the patio watching the sunset.

Wundervoller Urlaub

Wir (sieben Personen) haben zwei herrlich Wochen in der Casa Fresca verbringen dürfen. Das Haus ist wirklich sehr gut ausgestattet und bietet viele Möglichkeiten der Erholung. Durch die dicken Wände des Hauses wurde es auch im Inneren nie unangenehm warm und man konnte auch bei hohen Temperaturen gut schlafen, da es sich im Inneren nicht so aufheizte. Das Haus war sehr sauber und gepflegt. Sowohl das Haus als auch die Einrichtung waren in einem guten Zustand. Die Küche war für ein Ferienhaus ebenfalls hervorragend ausgestattet sowohl was die Geräte als auch Besteck, Gläser, Messer, Schneidebretter angeht. Besonders schön war es auch, dass jedes Schlafzimmer sein eigenes Bad hatte. Die Besitzer und auch die Verwalterin vor Ort waren sehr nett und bemüht und haben sich um alles sehr schnell und kompetent gekümmert. Man muss zwar bis zum nächsten größeren Ort ein Stückchen fahren (z.B. Einkaufen 30 Minuten etc. ), aber das nimmt man gerne in Kauf. Man kann von Deccio di Brancoli sehr gut wandern gehen. Die Wege sind gut beschildert und meist von Bäumen beschattet, sodass auch im Hochsommer Wanderungen problemlos möglich sind. Man kann auch zu einem sehr schönen Kletterpark in Pizzorne fahren oder zu der riesigen Tropfsteinhöhle "Grotta del vento". Das Meer sowie Pisa sind beide circa eine Stunde Autofahrt entfernt. Lucca als nächstgrößere Stadt ist ebenfalls einen Besuch wert und stellt mit seinem Bahnhof auch einen idealen Startpunkt für einen Ausflug nach Florenz da. Wir haben die Zeit sehr genossen und werden mit Sicherheit wiederkommen!!!

Luxury and authenticity under the Tuscan sun

What a great place! I stayed here with a group of friends, and the place is perfect for this. The villa is luxuous, comfortable and authentic; inside as well as outside. I loved the pizza oven and the fireplace. But the jacuzzi was my absolute favourite. The villa is located in a very quiet area, with a lot of beautiful hiking routes. Also, when you go here, make sure to visit the tratorria Tosca; only a 15 minutes drive away, loved the pizza's there.

Super fijn vakantiehuis

Wat voor een mooie huis en omgeving Ontbijten op de terras, avonds lekker in de jacuzzi. Genieten van de rust. Wij zijn in Cinque Terra met hun oude dorpjes, in Lucca en bij de natuurpark Parco di Migliarino geweest. Alles een aanrader! Een belevenis is een bezoek bij Paolo (Restaurat Da Tosca). Gezellige eigenaars en heerlijke pizza uit de houtoven.

Mooi vakantiehuis met geweldige omgeving

Super gezellig vakantiehuis. Ontbijten op de terras, wandelen of bezoek aan Lucca, Cinque Terra of het natuurgebied Parco di Migliarino, avonds bij een glas wijn de jacuzzi genieten. Een aanrader is een bezoek bij Paolo (Restaurant Da Tosca). Wij hebben heerlijk genoten!

Pace interiore e della natura

Da provare! L'aperta campagna circostante permette di sentirsi liberi in modi inimmaginabili, durante un viaggio interiore accompagnato dal rumore di foglie e vento. Consiglio a chiunque di passare tre giorni in questa proprietà. Una menzione particolare va alla referente italiana, disponibile come poche ne capitano per case vacanza con i proprietari all'estero. Torneremo certamente per la terza volta!

Gorgeous house with a stunning view!

We stayed a week in Casa Fresca with a group of four and absolutely loved it. The house is spacious, has al the amenities you will need en the patio and garden offer a great view of the valley. We especially enjoyed barbecuing on the patio with a nice glass of wine and relaxing in the jacuzzi. The house was clean and well kept and the bedrooms are very nice. The property manager left some fruit and drinks for us after check-in which was very nice. Planning a roadtrip is also easy as Lucca and Pisa are really nearby. Even Florence and Cinque Terre are close enough for a daytrip. I really advise anybody to visit at least 2 of these 4 places during a stay at Casa Fresca. We would not hesitate to return for a second visit. Top property!

Genieten in Deccio di Brancoli!

Casa fresca biedt alle mogelijkheden om in een sfeervolle , authentieke omgeving te genieten van rust , prachtig uitzicht op de heuvels van Toscane en het gemak van modern comfort . Voor cultuur en natuur zijn Lucca , Pisa en de stranden nabij . Ook handig: Pisa AirPort op 3 kwartier rijden van Deccio. !

Fantastic classic Toscane villa (nearby Lucca)

Our family of five (two adults and three children aged 9, 7 and 4) had a very pleasant stay at 'Villa Fresca' in Deccio di Brancoli nearby Lucca. After a 15 minutes drive by car on a narrow mountain road we arrived at 'Villa Fresca' thats located high on a mountain, which practically guarantees magnificent views and lots of privacy. We truly had a wonderful holiday. The villa itself makes you feel at home right away, the view is great and so is the classic Toscane terrace. The villa, the garden and the Jacuzzi offered lots of privacy and fun both for us and for our children. The owners of the villa and the local staff were very friendly and helpfull with regard to guestions on the villa, its equipment and its surrounding. There are lots of books, games and DvDs as well as WiFi making you feel welcome right away. Although you have to prepare for a 15 minutes drive up and down the mountain 'the reward' is worth the drive. During our relatively short (one week) stay we visited Lucca (less than 30 minutes drive) and Viareggio (less than one hour drive). If you are looking for a romantic, classic mountain house offering lots of privacy and well in range of Toscane cities like Lucca, Pisa, Firenze and Viareggio than 'Villa Fresca' is an excellent choice!

Beautiful and Serene Getaway

Our family of 5 (with three young boys) stayed here for a week. The house itself is beautiful and well appointed - including the kitchen, which was important to us, since we planned to cook often. Each room is tastefully decorated, most with stunning views across the valley below. The outdoor spaces are wonderful, little nooks around the house for relaxing, sitting in the sun or eating al fresco. Our boys thoroughly enjoyed the hot tub at the end of the day. The drive up the hill is narrow and winding (about 20 minutes from the bottom). The payoff once you arrive is that you are on top with views for miles, in the quiet with distant bells once you get there. Our only suggestion would be to add screens to all of the windows. There are a lot of mosquitoes in the summer and it is hard to get fresh air into the house on a warm evening when opening the windows brings in the bugs. In addition to being a lovely place to stay, we were well located for a week's worth of day trips: Cinque Terra, Pisa, Lucca, Viareggio were all an easy drive away. We'd highly recommend this house and would love to visit again!

Super semaine!

Nous étions 9 personnes et avons passé une semaine tout en confort dans cette belle maison en pierre. L'accès par la route est long dans la montagne mais une fois dans la maison, c'est un véritable havre de paix. Nous nous sommes rendus facilement à Lucca, Pise, Bagni de Lucca et les plages. Les hôtes ont répondu rapidement à toutes nos questions durant le séjour.
