Great place to stay

Wife and I loved our stay at this place. Everything was a less than one mile drive. Place was clean and quiet.

About our stay

House was clean and and in the heart of everything great to do however the ac did not work in the house and the people above us were so noisy and there was only one tv also house was so uneven and we were constantly walking up and down inside the house. There were cracks in the floor in spots and it felt like you were about to fall through. So even though it was clean a close to thing I will NOT be booking again with this specific person

Excellent location

Close enough to walk to most things but far enough to sleep peacefully. Safe neighborhood, great for walking around and exploring the history and the waterfront. Plentiful parking, quiet, clean, all good.

Great option!

Walkable to the downtown Salem attractions without having to pay the outrageous downtown prices. 2 nights here, less than price of 1 night at other downtown hotels, plus bonus of having more space to spread out a little bit. Neighborhood is quiet, safe, cute shops, loved it. Thank you for sharing your place!!

Lacks some privacy

First of all it was a great location. Communication with the property owner was very good. He answered questions quickly. However, there were some misrepresentations. The first being that there was parking. Which leads one to believe that there is a dedicated parking space. Parking was only available on the street, however, no problem with finding a spot. When we arrived it was cold and we had no control over the thermostat. Luckily there were some space heaters. Strangely, the temp changed throughout the day after the first night. The front bedroom had broken blinds that did not fit the windows. The back bedroom had a slanted floor and the bed was not level. The furniture is misrepresented, it was very worn and uncomfortable, except the beds, they were comfortable. The kitchen lacked the basics and only had 2 coffee mugs(3 of use were staying there), plus very little to cook with. The frying pan was peeling Teflon, so we didn't want to use it. The washer and dryer did not work. The washer didn't get the clothes all wet. And the dryer didn't dry well. We had to use a laundry mat.
