Fun family get away

We had an amazing stay at 5 o clock somewhere. Our family loved the tiki bar and the house accommodated 6 adults and 6 kids easily. Only downfall was not having a dock but we went to aunts creek to swim.

The house was perfect for our trip! We all had our own space to hang out. Pictures are very accurate. The tiki bar was used quite a bit! It is such a nice space! The view off the balconies were beautiful!

Great place

We had a great time at the house! Plenty of room for everyone. Great view of the lake. It was quite a trek back up the steps from the lake, but you can also drive a little further down the road to a swim beach if it’s too much. Plenty of parking, but it took some careful maneuvering to get turned around with the slope. Would stay here again!

Little piece of paradise

The house and the view are incredible. The hot tub gave us a fit at first but the owners were quick to respond and fix the issue. The stairs down to the water are a bit scary. Other than that we had a blast!!

The house is beautiful and the views, but the listing should have been more up front about how steep it is. For people with crawling babies and wobbly toddlers, there were baby gates provided but it was still nerve wracking outside. Additionally, the lake access was only accessible via stairs that were warped, loose and missing hand rails on a good portion of it. Additionally to get down to the lake you had to walk down a steep trail, climb over a fallen tree and then you had a rocky bank. A family member who had knee replacements wasn’t able to come to down to the lake on the property because of this. I think this wouldn’t have been a big deal had the listing been more upfront. The master bedroom did not have a king bed as listed, the welcome email was missing a map which said it was attached so the house was hard to find and the check out instructions were also missing on the email (they were printed in the house though). The hot tub was not clean and when I responded to the welcome email asking for someone to clean it or where the chlorine was, we got no response. It’s a super cool property but definitely needs some maintenance for the outside stairs and just more up front descriptions about the property’s location.

Hi Sarah! We have a ton of pics of the steep stairs and are always honest about this property. It’s pretty common with lake properties in this area. We had some bad storms and the stairs were hit by fallen branches. We are on the list to have it repaired and are waiting for our appointment. We did not receive your message about the hot tub or we would have taken care of that immediately. I wish you would have called us. We pride ourselves in having excellent communication with our guests. The master bedroom in this home is upstairs and that’s where the king bed is. We are sorry your stay didn’t meet your expectations. That’s really disheartening to hear. Again wish we could have communicated privately to make sure matters were handled for you.
