Equal parts charming and modern, decorated with an artistic flair and a literary mindset, ultimately "cozy" is the most accurate word. The view is the best part, with the pond and other features next. Well maintained and privacy was completely respected during our stay. The beds were a little uncomfortable but my girlfriend and I are very large people so mileage will vary. Would recommend to anyone looking for a mountain retreat off the beaten path. Though we were there for a wedding, and in and out of town quickly, it's certainly a spot we will remember for a long time!
Perfect location for relaxing and enjoying the outdoors. Host was responsive & cottage was cosy & had great views with natural light

The space was exactly as listed, but it seemed like it had been a minute since someone had been in there because there were so many spiders. My friends and I spent over an hour vacuuming spiders off the ceilings, walls, literally everywhere. It was pretty rough. There also was construction happening on the dirt path to the cottage with workers walking around the cottage that I was not informed about by the host. They dug a large hole right behind our parked car. There was also no privacy because the curtains were shear, so when the workers walked around the cottage, they looked straight at us in our pjs. I would not stay here again.

Beautiful location. We thoroughly enjoyed our time here. Glorious views and lovely decor. We will back to VT!
The host did a great job of taking care of us, even towed us when we got stuck in the driveway. (BTW if you only have front wheel drive and you're arriving in winter, park at the TOP of the hill, not the bottom). The views are gorgeous and the place is clean. The loft bedroom has pretty low ceilings and a steep ladder to access, so if you're planning to use that area that could be a mobility challenge.
Wife and I will probably book this amazing little cottage for all trips to Vermont. Cottage in country with Amazing Views, that’s what my wife and I wanted, and we couldn’t have imagined finding a better place.
There were several wasps. Question if it was clean bedding each time...there were noises in the night, against the building.

The noises you heard outside were likely the apples falling from the nearby tree. I shared this concern in my welcoming message. (This property is on a farm and vineyard and it’s harvest season).
Of course the bedding was freshly laundered but I appreciate you leaving dirty dishes and negative comments.
A place for peace and quiet in the country -- lovely Green Mountain view and starry sky at night. The sleeping loft is comfy, but can be challenging to access. All the comforts of home with wifi and Roku tv, loads of books and games if you need other distractions. You're in the country -- bring provisions, it's a bit of a drive to the nearest grocery or restaurants. There are some nice restaurants within 20-30 minute drive. It's a remarkably brief drive to BTV airport considering how rural the location feels. A very short drive to the Beane Trail trailhead.
I was very disappointed in the cleanliness of the inside of the home. While the vibes and location were immaculate, the inside of the home was really only surface-cleaned. There were an egregious amount of spider webs, spiders, and cobwebs all throughout the space, the shower still had used bars of soap in it as well as hair, the coffee pot (seemed) like it hadn't been cleaned (not sure if it was stained or just filthy). I would absolutely stay here again, but, I'd have to bring a duster with me to clean the space before I stayed.
The lock also did not work, the host provided a code to lock the door, but, we tried many times and were unable to get the lock to actually work. We pushed a table in front of the door at night for security
