Step into the front door foyer (with hardwood floors throughout most all of the home (porcelain tile in kitchen and bathrooms). Colorful decorative furniture and rugs in living room with a large smart TV over the fireplace right off of the full kitchen and separate dining room! This spacious home has a comfy King bed in the master bedroom with an adjoining full bathroom with the guest queen bed bedroom, bith with large windows and smart TVs! The bunkbed room has a full bed in bottom and twin on top with a full bath beside it in the rear hallway! Stroll downtown past our beautiful Wilson Park with a huge water fountain, elaborate public library, UNA college (5 blocks away), historical post office or our (Shoals)Theatre that has a variety of shows including plays, concerts, comedians, etc.! (3 blocks away) Sit outside along the cobblestone (3 blocks away) at Rivertown Coffee Shop, The Carraige Wine Market, Lost Pizza, Wildwood Tavern or The Chicago Cafe! Or continue one more block to (Court Street) & many more shops, restaurants, pubs, etc.!

Retired Military Golf Outing

This is a wonderful location. Easy access to downtown and great neighborhood to walk around. This was our 3rd time to stay here and we will be back!

RTJ golf outing

Very nice place to relax after a golfing. Nice to be able to walk a few blocks to downtown eateries. Highly recommend staying here. We will be back next year.

Great Location and close to everything

We came into town for my daughters wedding. The homes location made it easy for all the last minute food runs for the bridal party that stayed a few homes down. We were able to meet friends and family downtown and walk back. Will stay here our next trip to visit my daughter

This property should not be listed. Photos misleading and property is In run down neighborhood. Back window view is of some kind of machine shop. Host did not answer questions I had asked. We did not even stay 1 day. We locked it up, left, and informed owner.

No toaster, bedroom TV not connected to internet. We loved the area and the house is beautiful for an older home. Love the Florence area. Be sure and bring a cookie sheet also if you need one. Door was very hard to open, but for older homes I am guessing that’s normal. Contact person was quick and nice to answer questions.

A nice cottage. Porch is cute but floor boards seem weak and bouncy. Beds comfortable, King is very high if short and disabled. Could use more dishware, glasses and mugs if more than 4 people staying. Property owner's staff responded quickly when we couldn't find hairdryer.

The bad:We didn't receive a message about the address and entry code until after I contacted VRBO and complained. This process took over an hour on hold before I was transferred to a VRBO supervisor who provided the information. The property owner followed up shortly thereafter and apologized, stating the communication should have been provided automatically.There was a strong musty odor in the house. The floors, furniture and bathtub were filthy. We heard rodents in the walls and found rat feces on the kitchen counter and floor. Rodents chewed through grocery bags on the counter.There was no toaster in the kitchen. Laundry soap was not provided.We had to buy toilet paper and paper towels.The garbage container was full.The lawn was overgrown.The good:Great location, close to historic downtown. The neighborhood was ok. Felt safe but there was a lot of traffic in front of the home.Conclusion:Would have turned around and left after we walked in and stayed somewhere else if another property had been available.

Roomy Home But In Desperate Need of Repairs

Home is in major need of repairs such as the showers, the floors in the kitchen hallway and rear bathroom are all slanted enough to make you feel off-balance. The heating and air unit does not work but we did not find this out until late on the night before we left. Late on the first night when we arrived, there was pubic hair all in the shower and all over the curtain in the tub was backfilling because of a clog of hair. We were able to get the shower working without calling the host, but it was a little disgusting. The master bedroom bed is being held together by small pieces of a 2 x 4 because the frame is broken. The home is a really cool looking home from the outside and does have quite bit of age. The floors were very dirty and all of our socks were dark brown on the bottom because it has not been cleaned properly in a long time. We did message the host about all of these issues when we were departing because it was pointless to message the host with these issues because we were only staying Friday night and Saturday night. We literally only spent a few hours in the place due to the volleyball tournament which we spent most of our time. The host did not reply back with any comments in regards to any of the issues in a message to them after our stay. Id check to see if the repairs have been done to the home before booking. I was honestly embarrassed, bringing my family to this home in the condition it was in. I think we should at least get our cleaning fee refunded.

This guests review unfortunately seems to be in result because they were unable to cancel with very short notice. If the floors were really that sloped you would think that since I have been renting this home over now several years now that it would have been mentioned in other reviews? This is a downtown historical home but is structurally sound. There is no slope at all in the kitchen but since back bathroom was added where a back porch was previously, so it has a very slight slope but not enough for any other guest to notice or mention. The Heat & Air breaker was supposedly cut off for some reason but once it was cut back on it did not trip and the guest had no more issues. My cleaner lives one block from this rental and could have remedied any issues immediately but we were not told of any cleaning issues during their stay. I haveseveral other rentals in this area also so had I been told of these issues I would have immediately remedied them or offered them another one of my rentals but unfortunately was never given a chance to do either.
