This is not a "Central Park" apt - it's much further east - between 2nd and 1st avenues, so many long blocks from Central Park. But the apartment is as described. A humble NYC apartment that could use a paint job and has signs of wear, but the owner did a good job making it neat and clean and it suited my purposes for the short trip I made.
Jay was personable, responsible, and a great communicator. For the price and the neighborhood, a great deal. You aren't gonna cook any elaborate meals in the kitchen, but that's NYC. The property is actually a couple blocks east of where listed, further from Park Ave but closer to subway lines
We had a great 4-night stay at Jay's place. It is a classic Manhattan apt - cozy, creaky floors, wildly fluctuating hot water, and uncontrollable radiator heat but that's all part of the experience. Everything was very clean and comfortable and we'd stay there again.
The host, Jay, met us on arrival and was very welcoming. The apartment is comfortable and a half block from an amazing market as well as very good restaurants.
Best VRBO experience I have ever had! Jay could not have been anymore friendly and accommodating! The apartment itself is a great size for NYC, beautiful and peaceful. Parking was also easy and plentiful on the street or there are plenty of garages within a block or two walk. Overall we could not have been happier with our stay! Thanks again Jay!!
Great place to stay for a quick visit to NYC. Jay was a terrific host and easy to communicate with. He also provided suggestions about the area. It is an excellent location.
Jay was an amazing host. He met us at the apartment to let us in and show us around. Place was clean and has pretty much everything you would need. You definitely get the feel of what it is like to live like a New Yorker. The apartment is very quaint but very comfortable. Bed slept well for sure. I will say that only two towels and no wash rags or bathmat was a surprise. However, they do have a washer and dryer in the basement of the apartment building to freshen up towels as needed. It cost 2.35 per load to wash and 2.35 per load to dry.
Very comfortable apartment in a fairly residential area, so there are two train lines close by, grocery stores, great neighborhood pub and grills. Check in was smooth, communication was excellent, Apartment is nice sized and had everything we needed.
Apartment was as described and in a safe area with many bars and restaurants close by and food stores / other amenities. Subway stations nearby and easy to get taxis if needed. Central Park and Met a few minutes walk. We were met personally by Jay and all instructions were clear.
Communication with Jay was always easy and professional. The apartment is in a great location. Easy to get to bus and subway locations. Many great restaurants and bars in the area. Easy walk to Central Park and Museums. We loved our stay here
