The hot tub, barbecue pit & game room were a hit.. the backyard and the path to the beach needed some maintenance needed to be mowed and the path cut out better. The rooms were great definitely had enough room. There were a few things in the house that needed some tending to..the shower doors and a few other things but overall, we had an awesome time

This house is in a very nice location with easy access to a clean, uncrowded beach. The house interior was clean and beautifully decorated. There were several issues with TV’s not working (all just needed remote batteries), 1 toilet needed repair, and the Kuerig did not work. All of these issues were addressed promptly on the first morning. Overall, our family really enjoyed our stay!

We had such a great stay! The house was beautiful and had plenty of space for our large group. We really enjoyed the game room and the hot tub, and each bedroom had its own adorable theme. The home was nicely stocked with linens, plus shampoo, conditioner, and body wash, which was a great touch. It had a nice fenced yard and a little trail that leads to the beach. Communication was absolutely fantastic. I would have given five stars, but the house could use a little TLC in a few spots. Overall, we still had a wonderful time!

Great beach front

We had a great time! We stayed eight nights and spent a lot of time on the beach and on the decks. We also used the hot tub a lot. Great location for a large group.

Great location right on the beach. Easy access for young grandkids to walk to the water. Hot tub was a big hit.Well equipped kitchen, great supply of towels (even beach towels), bathrooms were well supplied, beds very comfortable.

Birthday Bash

We had the best time staying at The Ocean Grand for our birthday weekend! The outdoor area was amazing… we were there unless we were sleeping. So close to the beach which made for daily walks!! Would definitely stay here again :)

Mark's place was a great spot for our family of 23. The kids enjoyed all the games and beach toys. There was plenty of space in the kitchen and commons areas for everyone to eat and relax. The wind is blocked in the backyard, so we enjoyed a fire without being windblown. We had such a wonderful weekend together, and we'd definitely stay again.

This property is great. It sits on a portion of the beach that doesn't have a lot of public use. Every bedroom has it's own bathroom which was great for our large group. We cooked all of our meals in the kitchen while there and had lots of fun in the game room and sitting on the balconies overlooking the ocean and enjoyed the hot tub every evening. We also made smores one night over the fire pit. Very peaceful vacation. Mark, our host was great in keeping in touch with us and making sure we had everything we needed.

Oceanic Grand

Upon arrival, the first thing our group noticed was the property was very well-cleaned. It was perfect for our large group, with enough space and activities for kids, adults, and teens! We loved the direct beach access and a short walk to the beach with a great outdoor space that was docked with toys and beach items we could think of. The host was very accommodating and helpful with any concerns and questions we had and made our stay extremely comfortable. Would definitely recommend this house to anyone looking for a beach getaway!

Absolutely Perfect!

This is our third year to take the team on a trip like this and this house is by far the best we have rented. The play room was a huge hit! The boys spent all their free time playing pool and ping pong rather than being on their phones or TV. The hot tub was enormous and a great feature especially since it was too cold for the ocean. I am so thankful we found this house and hope to return.

the size of the house was great, the game room was wonderful, the location was perfect for kids to walk to the beach. the house itself needs a little TLC. the chlorine dispenser in the hot tub was empty, the Keurig single coffee maker didn't work at all and the dual drip/keurig machine didn't have all the pod parts, at least that we could find. the drip maker worked well but we had to go get ground coffee as the listing info only listed a Keurig so that was all I brought. Some loose boards and nails on the patio and not a dishtowel anywhere to be found. the wifi was sketchy and unreliable for most of the week. multiple devices being used were too much for it, maybe due to the weather, clouds? who knows. the bbq grill was very rusted and the hinges on the lid appear ready to give up. Fortunately we travel with several handy and tech savvy folks and made it all work.the house has amazing bones and can legitimately sleep 20 if needed. I understand it's a rental unit but it deserves a little love.

Everything was nice except grass needed to be mowed and because of that tons of mosquitoes no where to get wood for fire pit and was not told that I would have to get a propane exchange other then that very nice place

Amazing beachfront home

It really is just like the photos :) A group of 10 of us (adults with adult children) stayed for the week. The game room was a huge plus for the day it rained. The rest of the trip was sunny and warm and the hot tub was an excellent way to unwind after a day at the beach or after spending the day in Galveston. Being able to bring my grandpup along was a huge plus! Note they a prior reviewer commented on the SC - we didn’t have this issue as we noted there are two units and two thermostats (one upstairs and one down) and they kept us at a perfect temp during our stay. Property owners were communicative and we will definitely stay here again!

Fantastic Beach Home!

This was by far the best beach house we have stayed at over the years! The owners have thought of everything! Our extended family of 20 loved the roominess and all the features of this house. Each of the 5 bedrooms had their own bathroom, as well as 2 outdoor showers downstairs. The house was very clean and the beach theme decor throughout the house was great! The separate playroom was full of game tables which was a big bonus.The kitchen had every appliance needed as well as it was very well stocked with all of the kitchen necessities to feed large groups. There was generous seating indoors and out. The 2 decks had great views of the ocean with cool breezes blowing through and there was plenty of seating.The swim spa was amazing as well as the outdoor fire pit area in a fenced yardThe beach was literally a 1-2 minute walk from the house. The beach area felt secluded and it was never crowded.This property was definitely a wonderful stay for our beach vacation!!

House was large and loved the five bathrooms. The game room was great and entertained our tweens. A few things to note - you will need to supply toilet paper, garage bags, dishwasher soap, and could never find any kitchen towels or washcloths. The TV remotes did not work and/or were mixed up. We replaced batteries and still no luck. We had 8 kiddos and it would have been nice if TVs were labeled and maybe instructions somewhere. Check propane asap. We waited until our last night to finally receive the tank so plan accordingly. Host did not reply timely and check in was a bit stressful. The house location was great and the hot tub was clean. Kitchen adequately stocked however the oven did not seem to work - kept shutting off and it took much longer to bake. I would come again but would need to communicate more upfront about amenities.
