Just a 3 minute car ride to Petco, or a 15 minute stroll through Historic Downtown San Diego, this home is in the perfect spot for those looking to be close to all the action! Enjoy relaxing inside on premium beds and central AC, have a glass of wine on one of 2 private decks, or enjoy some corn hole in our spacious backyard. We hope to see you soon!

We are pet friendly! Please just dogs. ($150/pet/stay)

Guests have access to the entire driveway and grass area, as well as the backyard and the entire home!

This property is part of a duplex, please do not disturb the tenants at 2674. They are cool people. You are welcome to park anywhere, just make sure you look for the AirBnb signage to find the correct area to check in!

The VRBO listing, Downtown Gem, was great for a weekend getaway just for a couple (2 people) or very small family needing to be near downtown San Diego, CA! Also, easy to get to and from SAN International airport via Uber/Lyft or rental car! Host was easy to contact, as well. Property is small and old, but if you’re there in SD it serves the purpose!

Convenient to downtown, perfect size for 4

We were very pleased with the excellent communication from our host about finding the property. Perfect size for four people, with two full bathrooms. Short distance from downtown and very clean.

The place was great. We were a family if 5, and we fit just fine. Two bedrooms with queen beds - one at the front and the at the back. Two bathrooms; one on-suite, both with showers. The washer and dryer were a big plus, and there was plenty of laundry and kitchen cleaning products. The kitchen had everything we needed (although another mixing bowl would have been helpful). Another downside is the lack of a dining table of any kind (there's no room for one), although there is a table for four on the back patio (which we didn't use because it was to hot while we were there). The a/c works great, and the beds are comfortable. (The 7-year-old who slept on the couch had no complaints.) The front yard that doubles as a parking area is mostly dirt with scattered patches of grass. From the outside the place doesn't look like much, but inside it was very clean and comfortable. Communication with the property manager couldn't have been better. The property is not too far from downtown, but I wouldn't walk it, especially at night. The neighborhood is pretty dodgy. There's a fantastic little place two short blocks away: Adalberto's Mexican Food. The food is really great and the portions are huge! We would stay here again.

Great Cottage

This cottage worked great for our trip. Even though it was in downtown San Diego, there was room to park off the street. It is a duplex, so we could hear the neighbors at times, as I assume they could hear us too - no voices, just light bumps and knocks from time to time. While we were there, the neighbors seemed to be full-time residents. The host was very responsive to our request..

Cosy space

Initially a bit difficult to find as there is a tree hiding the drive way however inside had all the things we needed for the time we stayed. The fridge and all the things you needed for a kitchen were there and bathrooms all clean. Explanation of the water filter and other things were clear and you could go over the road where there was a dollar store for anything else you may have forgot and some tasty options close by. There did seem to be a small spillage of washing detergent where the washing machines were but everything else was super clean when we got there. It was a good place for what we needed during that time.
