Nice cottage located in the center of Popham Beach. Breath taking views of the ocean from the living room, dining room, kitchen, and master bedroom. Private beach! 125 feet of prime beach frontage. Complete kitchen remodel just completed Jan 2023!
The house sits on the beach with the property leading up to the high tide mark. Enjoy the ocean views from the deck while you work on your tan or enjoy a good book. The property features one bedroom downstairs with a queen bed. One 3/4 bathroom downstairs. Master bedroom has a king and a twin. 3rd bedroom has a full size bed and set of bunks. Wood burning stove to keep you warm in the living room. Also a newly added rinnai heater to warm the entire cottage. Nice large front deck and outdoor shower in the back of the house. Kitchen completely renovated during winter of 2023!

We had a great weekend at Peter’s! Magnificent views and so close to the beach. Only thing was we did not bring enough dish towel to dry the dishes for 8 people so I would advise you to bring 1-2 more with your towels and linen!

Very spacious and comfortable beach house. Beach view from many rooms. It was fully stocked and had a lot of amenities. Great getaway

I can’t say enough what a great location this was; on the beach and a short walk to Popham State Park. Beach house was perfect for us with beach chairs and a kitchen that had all the dishes and cooking ware we needed. Host was very responsive to our questions. Would stay here again.

This place was perfect for our weekend getaway and birthday celebration. Amazing location and the perfect location. Being early spring we enjoyed the woodstove. The cottage was extremely clean and perfectly equipped with everything we needed. We’ll be returning for sure.

The location cannot be beat. It was so wonderful to be able to access the beach so easily. The weather was perfect. We walked our dogs each morning and to the sandbar everyday at low tide. It's a fun biking area. The house is beachy and comfortable. We appreciated being able to watch Netflix after a long day in the sun. The Wifi went down for an evening and we did not know how to re-boot the router, but it returned the following morning. The owner was good with communication and made us feel welcome. He even ordered beautiful weather for us.

Quiet area with private beach

We enjoyed spending our spring break in Popham. The house was clean and comfortable. Didn't realize that we needed to bring our own sheets and towels until after we had made the reservation, but it was not a problem as we were driving from our home and a little extra luggage was not an issue. We loved having the private beach area right by the house!

Week on the beach

We stayed for 8 days at the cottage, and it truly is one of the best spots on the beach. Right center of Hunnewell, beautiful views from the front windows and even better down on the private beach. The cottage itself had most of what we needed to cook all our meals for the week, and was a grear spot to spend the week.We also brought along our dog who loved the walks on the beach and playing in the surf. The host was very responsive and helpful on a few questions we had during our stay, responding to an email within a few hours. We will definitely be considering staying again!

Wonderful stay!

What a wonderful time at Popham! The house was clean, with a modern kitchen (no dishwasher, but that wasn't a problem). The bathrooms were a bit dated and definitely rustic, but very clean. The tub/shower was especially clean. The bunk beds were a big hit with our kids! The views from the windows in the living area were phenomenal: clear views of Wood and Seguin Islands. The path to the beach was easy to use and directly in front of the cottage. The living area furniture was new, well-made, and functional. Thank you for a fantastic time at our favorite beach!

So peaceful

Grew up staying at Popham beach every summer for a week and have dreamt about taking my own kids. Finally made that happen and it was beautiful, peaceful, and just as I remembered. Our favorite part was going down to the beach at sunset-one night we were the only ones. This time of year the crowds are gone and you can still get some sunny warmer days. I even brought mittens for the little ones but we never needed them because we had the one last warmup during our stay. The only part I miss is having a fire on the beach but the town must regulate that now. The property was perfect for our needs. Hope to be back!

Terrific location!

We’ve stayed at Popham beach before, but were still blown away by the beauty of the sandy beach. Especially when it’s almost deserted! The property was very nice and essentially as promised. The only thing I wished I had noticed that you must bring your own linens. Luckily I am on a cross country trip and had packed some! But it would be helpful if it was more prominently called out. (It was in the second email from the host which included check out instructions, but frankly, I missed it in a quick scan). Still, we were covered and had a great stay!

Peaceful Gem

This house is a gem! Tucked away on a private road with a view of the ocean, two lighthouses, and surrounding islands. Quiet neighborhood. The private beach was perfect! Beautiful dark sand to walk on at low tide with few others on the beach. All owners had control of their dogs which is a big bonus as I have been to other beaches where people were not as courteous. The house is well maintained and has a nicely equipt kitchen. Very clean. Comfortable couch. Lots of windows to open. Front deck is a great place to relax. There is nothing like falling asleep to the tide rolling in and out.

Sweet cottage, incredible location!

My husband and I spent last week at Pete's beautiful oceanfront cottage. The space has everything you need (bring towels and sheets!), beautiful views and sits close enough to the ocean to hear the waves. We both worked from the cottage some of the week and the wifi was fast and reliable. The house is on a very quiet dirt road and literally steps to the beach. The front deck is expansive and a nice place to relax with the pups. We went to the beach several times every day. The beach is very dog friendly, we were fortunate to have nice weather and walked for miles each day on the sand. Be on the lookout for sand dollars, they're relatively easy to find here. The area is quiet, peaceful and beautiful. If you are traveling outside of the summer months, there isn't much open but Bisson's Center store is only 10-15min away and has a good selection of groceries, sandwiches/pizza, etc if you're in need. Thank you Pete for sharing your home with us! We loved our stay and will look forward to returning.

The property (original house was lost to sea in 1978) has been our family over 100 years. Gerry Kondak (my mother) rebuilt the cottage in the mid 80's. The rebuilt cottage sits about 100 feet back from where the original cottage was. I sell ski vacations for a living and I'm based in Jackson Hole, WY.
