AMENITIES: Our condos cluster around the Town Center, which hosts special events, activities, and live music in peak season and on holiday weekends. Nearby resort-style amenities include three lavish pools, two scenic lakes, fishing dock, fire pits, fitness center, private dune crossovers, lawn games, and a pirate ship playscape! Enjoy on-site restaurants such as a Mediterranean bistro and a pizzeria.

Welcome to The Refuge, a beautifully decorated, 2-bedroom, 2-bathroom condo located in Cinnamon Shore North. This custom condo features hand-stained shiplap accent walls, sophisticated lighting fixtures, granite countertops and stainless steel appliances. The living room is spacious, yet cozy and inviting, welcoming evening gatherings. The kitchen's large island is perfect for sitting around and visiting about the fun had by all. The large chalkboard wall beckons the kids to create a masterpiece while the chef of the group prepares the catch of the day. A king-size platform bed in the master bedroom is surrounded by shiplap walls that create warmth and interest. The second bedroom has a queen-over-queen bunk bed that can accommodate kids or adults alike! As the night winds down, sit outside and enjoy the Gulf breezes on your very own private patio. The Refuge is the perfect place to recharge and enjoy all that Cinnamon Shore has to offer - a beautiful beach, three pools, restaurant and cafe, parks, paver sidewalks along palm-lined streets, stocked lakes, fishing pavilion and boardwalk and the heart of Cinnamon Shore - our Town Center. IF A PET IS SEEN ENTERING A NON-PET FRIENDLY HOME, GUEST WILL BE CHARGED A PENALTY AND/OR EVICTED.
The Refuge is a non-pet friendly property, and there are no exceptions. If a pet is seen entering The Refuge the homeowner and/or Cinnamon Shore Vacation Rentals has the right to immediately evict the renter with no refunds, regardless of time of day or night.

There will be an automatic non-refundable penalty fee of $1000 added to the reservation if a pet is seen entering the property. If the pet does not leave the property immediately, at the date of the violation, there will be an additional $300 daily charge applied to the renter until eviction. It is up to the contract signee to disperse the pet policy to all persons staying in the home. If a renter's "guests" violate this policy it is assumed they are aware of the policy and the fee will be assessed. The Renter may also be liable for any additional charges related to cleaning fees and/or damage in the home.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The condo was very well outfitted kitchen-wise (like who uses a food mill on vacation - but OK - cool that it was there). The refrigerator water 'change filter light' was on. The TV is SUPER small for the size of the space. I had a HUGE cockroach crawl under the primary bathroom door as I was in a compromised position - so not that great that. The front-desk personnel were lovely and welcoming, the people at the coffee/dessert place seemed to just be bracing themselves for people to have an issue with them or something about their food. VERY understaffed. The property needs more food options as there isn't really a lot close by. The pizza restaurant was good but also understaffed. We left onr rental one day to go do something and noticed just trays of half eaten pizzas on a table.. and when we got back some time later they were still there. The gift shop had some lovely items and was very high-end - I liked that there were unique items. We'd probably come back to CS (IF we returned to Port A)because it's the nicest property in the area - the beach staff did an AMAZING job of setting up and taking down chairs every night, and every time we saw them they greeted everyone very professionally. We didn't enjoy the way our unit was tucked around a corner and didn't really have a 'front view', but that did not really materially impact our stay, except for the fact that we couldn't find the entrance for about 10 minutes because it was not what we expected. The cabinets are starting to get pretty beat up in the unit, and I'm not really sure how 'clean' it was as when I got out of the shower one night I could see 'I see you' written on the mirror :/ - which I'm not going to lie was kind of unsettling - but we decided it was most likely just someone's idea of a prank (after thoroughly searching the unit just to make sure). The bed in the primary bedroom has a HUGE valley on the left side of the bed.. I felt like I fighting for my life in that valley every night.

The other bath has a tub shower, which suffices for folks wanting to take a bath. The dishwasher is worn. The counter top stool/chairs are very uncomfortable. More comfortable chairs with seat padding and a back would be much better. A recliner or one or more lounge chairs in the living area with arms would be a great improvement.

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This was our second visit to Cinnamon Shores. Upon arrival, the exterior door was so dirty I didn’t want to touch it. (I cleaned it.) Not a good start. Inside, the condo was mostly clean and everything was in good working order. The kitchen was fairly well stocked. No hot water, but maintenance was quick to respond. The bed was quite comfortable. That said, the place really needed to be painted and the sofa was dirty and threadbare. Found three large dead water bugs (roaches?). Definitely not five star. The Refuge is tired. I wouldn’t stay there again without it having a refresh.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We loved this condo. It looks exactly like pictured and we found the decor relaxing. The couch was super comfortable. Kids loved the bunk bed though it proved to be dangerous as expected for 3 & 5 yr old (one fell on stairs and one nearly got burned by the reading light). It seems clean and tidy when you walk in. The kitchen was fully stocked with nice things and I had no problem cooking full meals. Service from management at check-in is awesome. I highly recommend staying at Cinnamon Shores for the access to the beach and lovely community amenities - we swam in all 3 pools and ate at Cbar. The dishwasher rack does not pull in and out and that was the only really annoying thing. The bathtubs need a deep scrub with a Magic Eraser. Water pressure is low and I suspect that is an issue at all of the condos. I didn't love the beds, but that's a personal feel thing. We have stayed previously at Coast Awhile and even though The Refuge is not as luxurious as a huge 5 bedroom 3 story house, you still have all of the amenities at Cinnamon Shores and this time we only had our little family of 4 to deal with. It's a much more affordable way to have a luxurious experience.

Great family getaway

Stayed here with my family (myself, husband, 4 year old, and 2 year old). The condo was perfect for us. It was just the amount of space we needed. The beds were all very comfortable, and the condo was clean. It was just across the street from one of the pools, lawn area, restaurant, and little "market street". Very easy access to get to the other pools and beach, as well. We didn't rent a golf cart and found the walk very doable (even for my small kids). We will definitely return!

The community is very nice and so was our condo. When we arrived, the AC wasn’t working and took 3 hours to fix. Some of the pillows had stains. Our trash pull out didn’t work properly. The condo could’ve been better cleaned and we had to ask three different times to get a new comforter sent to our room because ours had hair on it. It was an ok stay. Could’ve been nice but we likely won’t return.

Felt safe and clean in our apartment! Great amenities and really safe. Only feedback would be the towels and sheets. Really thin sheets and quilts and small towels. I recommend you bring your own.
