This is the most perfect glamping experience. The yurt is perfectly clean, the grounds are well maintained and have everything you need. Would highly recommend and will definitely come back!
We loved the yurt! The beds were comfortable and the firepit was perfect. The yurt was clean and so was the outhouse. The location is great for spending the day hiking at Waterloo. We would stay again and recommend to family and friends!
This Yurt was the perfect little getaway! My boyfriend and I booked for the weekend and it couldn’t have been better! Had the perfect minimal camping feel with the luxury of also being indoors and sleeping comfortably! 10/10 will be back!

Extremely cool yurt, great owner, amazing location
My husband and I stayed here for a weekend getaway and had an excellent experience. The yurt was extremely clean and cozy, had every amenity we needed for a rustic trip, and is in such a beautiful and private location. It's near a ton of scenic hiking trails, lakes, etc., which is very convenient if you're planning outdoor activities. The propane heater was perfect when the temperature dropped over night. The host is so helpful and accommodating, which made everything very easy. The yurt is a 10/10, we would love to stay here again!!
The yurt was very cute and clean. The host had great communication. They left several bottles of water for us which was nice. The couch bed was comfortable and our kids said the bunk beds were too. The yurt was very clean, no bugs, real windows that we opened because it was a little warm, real doors with deadbolt locks for security. Having an outhouse and no running water or electricity is not ideal but for a one night stay we managed and the outhouse was very clean and a lot nicer than we expected. There were batteries left for lights but we couldn’t get the indoor lights to work (could have been us) . The rechargeable magnetic light stuck to the door was perfect. I would suggest getting a couple more of those and keeping them charged up. With just the one we had plenty of light for the entire evening. There were thoughtful touches like playing cards left and a bin with other possible supplies needed. We had brought several portable chargers with us which worked great. Overall a great stay in a quiet woods for a night. We drove the 1.5 miles to go to the portage lake park beach to swim and had dinner at Portage Lake Parlor which had a dog friendly patio with live music and great food. Overall a great stay with thoughtful hosts with great communication!
Wow is all I can say about our trip to the yurt! We had such a wonderful time and mase so many amazing memories with our kids! The yurt is exactly as described. It had a futon and 2 bunk beds, perfect for my husband 2 kids and I. The space was clean and all we needed for the long weekend. We love rustic camping ( no running water or electricity) so this was perfect for us. We cooked over the fire for all our meals. There is a cooking grate over the fire which was helpful. There was plenty of seating around the stone fire pit. If you want the sound of nature and isolation this is for you! At night when all the lanterns are off you are in total darkness which we though was cool! There is a string of battery powered lights around the inside of the yurt which we liked at night which is basically like the light of the moon. Tons of things to do in the area. Lots of canoe liveries about 35-55 minutes away. Easy to get to for a day trip! Lastly our hosts were beyond easy to get a hold of and were very helpful through the booking as well as the entire trip! Highly recommended this property! We hope to stay again!
