In Roussillon Village &Conciergerie included a private home fantastic view basin
The Villa Rouge is located in the heart of the village, right next to the Main square and the many restaurants and cafés, galleries and shops but not too close to enjoy some quiet time. Everything you need is just a short-walk away : the bakery, butcher, supermarket, tobacco store, post-office, doctor and chemist’s store. Luberon offers you the best of Provence : a sweet climate, many cultural sites to visit, as well as an authentic nature, delicious local products, and a craftsmanship to discover. The Villa was built in 1849, in the typical architecture of Luberon. Perched on the hill-top, you’ll benefit from an exceptional panoramic view on the Mont Ventoux, the famous mountain in the French artist Paul Cezanne’s paintings, as well as on the plateau of Vaucluse, the ochre quarries and surrounding vineyards. Its decor, inspired by Provençal style, is authentic and sophisticated, and offers great comfort. The villa has 3 bedrooms equipped with air con each , one of them a Suite. Each room has a bathroom (a shower for both rooms and a bathtub /shower for the Suite) The vast lounge of 60m² is very bright and perfect to relax in. You can browse through the books put at your disposal. There is WIFI connection, Apple TV, Sonos system for your device to play music, games and books. The house revolves around its “cathedral” kitchen, fully equipped. Located on the ground floor, it has an incredible view on the mount Ventoux. We have a laundry with a washing machine, a dryer and washing line at the garage level. To park your car, I'll give you a special card for the resident parking at 4 minutes walking distance from the house. Otherwise you have a public parking at 1 min walking distance . The garage door is quite fragile so we only use the indoor parking for emergencies or for the maids service. The house offers the perfect combination to guarantee you an unforgettable stay in the Luberon : a perfect location in a mythical village.

The property was a perfect location within a small village and we all enjoyed the ambiance, pool and overall comfort of the home. The management hosts were very friendly and helpful.
Beautifully situated, well and thoughtfully equipped, big windows so comfortable and pleasant and relaxing to be inside when it’s too hot. Sipping pool is great for hanging out and cooling off. Concierge was attentive and responsive and much needed for directions upon arrival.

Nice stay; Good location
We spent a week in Roussillon. This location is well located in the village, easy access to restaurants, cafes, etc. Good setup. Enjoyed our stay.
Charming, spacious, well furnished authentic villa built in 1849 with just the right amount of updates to still retain it’s character; ample space inside and outside for entertaining and hanging out with friends or family. Great location just steps from restaurants, boulangerie, well-stocked grocery store.

Lovely comfortable home in a fabulous peaceful location
This house exceeded our expectations. It was only a few steps from the main part of Roussillon for restaurants, shops, ice cream. The house is very large and has every comfort. We enjoyed alternating days to go to other towns in Provence with sitting by the pool, reading and my grandaughters doing art. Roland, property mgr, was very responsive - as was the owner when we made our reservations. She referred us to a driver - Jean Raphael who transferred us to Avignon train station as well as various towns. We hope to be fortunate to return some day. Thank you!

I watched the sun come up every morning from the beautiful patio! We had wonderful meals on the patio from food at the local markets “Provençal”. We lived visiting all the area villages. We ended our wonderful trip with dinner at Restaurant David. We hope to come back!

Thank you Jennifer for your kind comments. I’m glad you had a great time at Villa Rouge
I am convinced this rustic, warm, charming apartment is one of our best rentals in the Provence. Having stayed many places in the area, this so apartment is by far my favourite to date. While Roussillon can be busy and the location is central, the apartment is quiet, tucked away from the noise of tourists and a quiet retreat. The ultimate way to feel a part of a french village, but still have privacy.

Thank you so much Katie for your sweet kind words. I’m so happy you enjoyed your stay in our house ( not an appartement ;-). We work hard at making our guests happy and we love our home so we truly enjoy sharing with those who appreciate it as nothing nowhere is ever perfect even here ;-)
Our stay could not have been better! The property was clean, well equipped and suited our needs perfectly. The most pleasing thing is that the property truly was “as advertised”. The description of the property, location and photos do not do it justice. The owner and property managers were wonderful to work with. I cannot recommend this property more highly! Thank you so much!

It’s so sweet to write such a review ! We do our best to make our home pleasant for our guests and I give my team a shootout through you !
Great property! My wife and I were looking for a peaceful place to unwind between work assignments, and this was it. Wonderful location, nice to have a garage for the rental car, and the terrace and pool were a wonderful place to rest. Great access to town and other towns in the region. Each of the bedrooms has air-conditioning which was very nice. And finally, the owner's representative Sophie was extremely helpful! Enjoy

We loved loved loved this place. I have been to many vrbos. I think this one is my favorite. Communication and check-in/check-out were perfectly managed. The on-line photos are beautiful but fall short of the real charm of the place. Full of character, comfortable, well set up for cooking for a crowd (we were 8). We especially appreciated the outdoor grill. There is a beautiful outdoor dining table protected from sun and rain where we ate all our meals. We spent most of our time outdoors. The views from the patio are extraordinary. There is also a large (but cozy!) indoor living room with very comfortable sitting and good lighting. The town of Roussillon is lovely with a number of interesting art galleries. Delicious ice cream at Angela's. Have dinner at Omma on the terrace overlooking the valley for a special treat.

Wonderful, spacious, perfectly located home
If you want to get a taste of life in the gorgeous village of Rousillon, the Villa Rouge is an ideal choice. This home is centrally located, a few steps away from a main town square filled with shops and restaurants, cafes. The house also had a fantastic courtyard and pool with stunning views of the Ochre cliffs and nearby mountains. The pictures of the home simply do not do justice to this stunning home and setting. The house itself perfectly met our needs, as did the gracious welcome and hospitality bestowed on us by the owner and her hostess. We hope to return one day to this spectacular property.

Wonderful Stay in Roussillon!
Our family of 5 spent a week at La Villa Roussillon in March and it was simply perfect! The house was spacious and the layout was great giving everyone their own space. The location was in the center of the village allowing us to easily stroll around town and not have to worry about taking a car to dinner. It was definitely a perk though having a garage to park the car in so we could easily pop around the area and not have to walk to a car park or worry about finding a place to park when we returned. We also loved the convenience of having a washer and dryer. I don't hesitate at all in providing 5 stars as the property was perfectly maintained and the owner was always responsive and attentive!

Thank you so much for your kind comments. I truly appreciate it ! I am glad you enjoyed your stay at La Villa Rouge . Marion
Our only wish is that we could have stayed longer! Every detail of this property was impeccable. If you are into cooking at home this property is better equipped than most-endless array of utensils, cookware, serving and dinnerware. It was exceptionally hot during our stay and one of the air conditioning units wasn’t working when we arrived, it was addressed and working the next day. We were grateful for the use of the “basin” (smallish swimming pool), perfect after long days of exploring in the hot temps. The town is quaint with local dining, shops and grocery stores and be sure to walk (slight hike) the ochre trail. If you want/need something you can’t find in town there are other options 5-10 away…be sure to check out the book left at the house for suggestions, if it’s not in the kitchen search it out in one of the other rooms…owner has provided valuable time saving information. Thanks again for sharing this wonderful space

Outstanding Villa, well located, beautifully appointed and very well serviced.
This is not the first villa we have stayed in, but it was certainly the best. We were impressed from the minute we booked. Communication with the owner, Marion, was excellent and our greeting from the agents in Roussillon, Camille and JR, was similarly excellent. The villa itself was well located and allowed us to immerse ourselves in village life as well as access many nearby attractions. Having a garage was a massive bonus given that parking in most small villages is difficult at the best of times. While we had the Villa to ourselves, it is also perfect for a family or group of friends. It was clean, tastefully decorated, well equipped and the beds very comfortable. The inclusion of an apple TV and Sonos added to the ambience. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, were grateful for the hospitality and kindness extended to us and would absolutely recommend this property to couples looking for a quiet getaway or families and groups of friends looking for a central location from which to explore Roussillon and its beautiful ochre sights and the surrounding villages and towns of Provence. Absolutely 5 star.

Wonderful, spacious house with lots of room and a large kitchen/dining room and living room. We appreciated the games and kids books, the comfortable beds and great communication with the property managers. Ideal location with a 2 minute walk into town and short drives to other villages. However, the house obviously needs investments in plumbing upgrades. One toilet wasn't working the day after we arrived & another stopped working the day before we left. Water leaked from a bathroom faucet around a sink that needed caulking, onto the shelf below. The kitchen faucet also needed some fixing. The garage door has no sensor & started to close on the car being parked. In spite of these frustrations, we really enjoyed our stay. Rousillon is lovely & the nearby Ochre trail hike stunning,

Thank you Steven for your review. As much as I understand your frustration I ask myself why do I not have those issues when I stay here sometimes for weeks as recently as a few weeks before you did ? The beauty of my 250+ old century house comes with the fact that we try to maintain the charm of the house as much as possible. The faucet of the kitchen is a little screw easy to tie with your fingers to stop the dripping, not much more and this faucet is so pretty in its copper color ! It’s not broken. It’s just that people keep moving it and it unties the screw . The toilets can if you are patient be flushed easily., All you have to do is push the button softly a couple times. They have been fixed at least 3 times per year by a plumber including with a new set because of clients who don’t have a soft hand. Finally the garage yes it is stressful but normally we are not supposed to park in the garage reserved for the maids visiting. Plenty of parking next to the house, like literally next to the house and for free as I had informed you. And we also give you access to a private residential parking a mere 10 mns walk from the house. Thank you for your review. I hope this lets future clients know soft hands are welcome in my house. Kindly, Marion
Our party of three sixty year old women enjoyed this house, each of us had our own bedroom and bathroom which was a treat. The views from all the living room windows as well as from the patio was stunning. The town was cute with some fun shops. Our restaurant experience was not as good because there seemed no rhyme or reason when restaurants were open. The second night there literally we could find no other restaurant open other than the place we ate the night before. We made daily use of the bakery, the cemetery is worth a visit which is right next to the ochre trail which is a must. We had lunch in Gordes which we enjoyed. The only thing that was a bit of a surprise is the house is multi level and the walk around the town may be difficult if you have any mobility issues. We had a car which we parked in the garage but that was tight. The driveway because of the steepness was not useable. We had COVID tests taken at the pharmacy in the village which was super convenient. My suggestion on arrival is to park in the center of town where there is a parking lot and have someone meet you and take you to the house. Our gps could not find the house and after a drive to nowhere we finally decided to do that. We also really enjoyed the Thursday market in the heart of the village. Everyone associated with the property was very responsible, kind and helpful.

Thank you Terry for your comments. My 80 and 90 years old neighbors get by pretty easily so I was surprised by your remark. Also I don’t know which driveway you refer to as there is no driveway. The garage is on the main street. But I m sorry if the instructions you received were not clear enough. It seems you didn’t receive the map or saw the picture of the garage which cannot be missed with its giant blue gate

Très bon séjour
Maison très bien placée en centre-ville et en même temps totalement au calme. Une vue superbe et une terrasse très agréable autour de la petite piscine.
This charming house is steps from everything you want to do in Russillon . We so enjoyed the patio overlooking the valley and the mountains and the spacious living room where we gathered
at night after supper. The kitchen is well stocked and the bedrooms and bathrooms are excellent. The house is located very close to an excellent butcher, several gelato stands and a great bakery. There is a small supermarket as well with an easy walking distance. There are small
restaurants all around the town. There is a peace about this house which is hard to describe - and we loved every minute of our stay there.

Thank you for your sweet words Judith. I couldn’t agree more ;-) We love our house for the same exact reasons you did. Colder seasons in the living room and warmer seasons in the patio 😉

Our house has that cosy feeling with a lot of space thanks to its cathedral kitchen, living room , patio , 3 bedrooms and some beautiful views of the mountains and sunset and sunrise all in the village
Why they chose this property
The village of Roussillon is one of the most beautiful of France and the second most visited in the Luberon after the village of Gordes. With its festival of ochre colors and hill-top position, it is one of Provence’s jewels. It is hard to depict the true splendor of Roussillon. 17 shades of ochre paint the village’s houses. Imagine the amazing contrast with the green pines, blue sky and red cliffs… Roussillon, with its history, vineyards and unique location, is the French savoir-vivre at its best. In the region of Provence, between the mountains of the Luberon and the Vaucluse, Roussillon sparkles with ochred light. Discover this unique mineral treasure of surprising blazing colors, right in the heart of the world’s most important ochre deposit.
What makes this property unique
