This is a beautiful house that is perfectly situated very close to town but far enough to have peace
The home is wonderful and well-equipped. We loved our stay there. The hosts and house manager were gracious, prompt in communication, and very helpful. Everything we could need in the house was available and worked well (there's even a second fridge if you're staying with a large group). We had a large group of family and noted that there were always enough chairs around the main tables, cups/plates/flatware, towels, and other items that sometimes can be in short supply in larger places. The pool is just perfect for swimming on your own or for enjoying with family (even a lot of them!).
The house is really in the perfect location; about a 15 minute walk to town along the roads (or a beautiful, slightly more strenuous 20 minute walk through orchards and vineyards suggested by the owners). It's also on what I would consider the "easier" side of town meaning that if you drive into Roussillon you are close to a main parking lot that always has space and you can easily commute to the larger grocery stores in Apt.
If you are unfamiliar with the area, Roussillon is fantastic. It's a small town with a local population and the accompanying stores you'd expect serving a residential clientele (e.g., boulangerie, boucherie, pharmacy, small-super market, etc.), but it also has a lot of tourism and shorter term residents as well, which greatly increases the density and variety of restaurants and shops geared toward tourists. It's a great combination in my opinion. There is a ton to do in and around town, but it is also very centrally located for all manner of trips around the Vaucluse.
All in all, I cannot imagine a better place to stay. It was absolutely perfect.
