Really enjoyed the Milking Parlour and will return.
Class, Comfort, Convenience
All that is necessary in a home from home - and more.
Luxury lounge for relaxation - well equipped kitchen - Separate bathroom and wet room a bonus - and location ideal for top class beaches at St. Ives and Sennen as well as holiday shopping at Falmouth Truro and Penzance. Excellent experience.
Great place to stay - with 1 drawback
It was our second stay in the Milking Parlour and we really enjoyed it. The location is close to St Ives yet very quiet. The house itself is very beautiful.
However, compared to our first stay, the cleanliness was not the same level. It was not thoroughly cleaned - we found used cleaning towels in the drawer and it appeared not to be cleaned for some time as there were quite some flies in the house and we had to clean up the kitchen.
I still recommend the Milking Parlour, it is a lovely place to stay and when the level of cleanliness is again on the same level that we experienced 2 years ago there is absolutely nothing to complain about.
Lovely location, accommodation comfortable but a little tired.
Perfect home from home
We loved our holiday at The Milking Parlour. The location was peaceful and beautiful with great walks. It was easy to get into St Ives by car. The house was tasteful and very clean with plenty of space and god facilities. We were sad to leave.
A lovely cottage with a modern interior in a quiet, beautiful setting. We had a great 2 weeks stay at The Milking Parlour. We found the cottage to be very well equipped, spacious and comfortable. Great views all around with easy access to the local places of interest. Thoroughly enjoyed chatting to Colin, the local farmer, who had wonderful stories and plenty of tips to get the best from our stay. We would definitely return to this property
The property is just outside St Ives - famous for art galleries such as The Tate and and the Hepworth Museum. With quaint narrow streets, shops, harbour, restaurants and sandy beaches the town is a beautiful vibrant destination. Alternatively, explore the rugged and wild Cornish coast; look out for the varied bird life; watch for marine life - seals, dolphins and basking sharks are frequent visitors to these coastal waters. There are boat trips and watersports in the area, or horse riding, golf, karting, and many other tourist attractions.
Just 5 miles away is the south coast with the pretty villages of Marazion, St Michael's Mount, (which can only be reached by boat, or on foot at low tide), Mousehole, and the busy town of Penzance.
