------------------------------------------------ LIABILITY WAIVER ------------------------------------------------ Our property provides you with a unique opportunity to swim, fish, use the dock and fire pit, and to use the kayaks and canoe. We want you to take advantage of these amenities and have a memorable visit. However, by agreeing to our House Rules, you acknowledge that there are inherent risks involved with participating in these activities and that lakes, docks, campfires and boating may present dangers for adults and children. Children must be carefully supervised by an adult at all times when near the water and when using the boats. If you use the boats, we require the use of life jackets which we provide for you. For insurance reasons, the boats are for use ONLY by registered guests, NOT visitors. Because the water at the end of the dock is shallow, no diving or jumping off the dock is allowed. Children must be carefully supervised by an adult at all times in the fire pit area when there is a fire burning or while there are still hot embers present. By using these amenities, you acknowledge the potential risks discussed above, agree to accept full responsibility for any bodily injury that may occur to you and others in your party, and waive any claim whatsoever against the owners for accidents or claims arising from these activities. About the host
Hosted by Mark
We love the outdoors! We're avid hikers and cross-country skiers, and also enjoy cycling and paddling. We have two properties in the Adirondacks, both available for rental - one in Lake Placid village, the other in Wilmington on the water.
Why they chose this property
Wilmington is an up-and-coming village, hosting many outdoor events and offering easy access to all types of outdoor recreation. We're close enough to Lake Placid to enjoy everything there, but still rural enough to enjoy an evening paddle, stories around the fire pit and a quiet night's sleep.
What makes this property unique
This recently renovated house is located on a private road. It has 2 bedrooms with one bathroom. Cozy wood burning fireplace in the living room. Open concept kitchen. Perfect for viewing the fire while eating some comfort food at the kitchen table. Decorated with warm Adirondack touches. It is the main unit in the 2 unit home. The large yard has a gentle slope down to a great seating area with fire pit. The yard continues down to the waters edge of the Ausable River (Lake Everest) with gorgeous mountain views, including Whiteface! The home is a 5 minute drive to Whiteface mountain for skiing or snowboarding. A one minute drive to the Wilmington Youth Center for free skating and sledding/tubing (weather permitting). We are only 12 miles from Lake Placid with its myriad of restaurants and shops. Looking for more room? The owners suite is the second unit located below. An additional kitchen, living room with wood stove, bedroom and bath. Inquire if interested!
