Pulling into the driveway gives you a sense of total seclusion. You know there are properties nearby, but the woods in between provide isolation. It’s the perfect retreat for a couple to get away. For us, it was our 40th anniversary and we couldn’t have been happier with this property!Everything you expect is here: plenty of kitchen utensils, soaps, shampoo, laundry supplies, towels, tp, hot water, good wi-fi and satellite tv.The view of the water blew us away. Beautiful sunsets and a cozy campfire are what we will remember the most. Be sure to be in a chair on their waterfront patio to watch the parade of pelicans flying down the coast toward Sturgeon Bay in the evening. It’s amazing to watch!Just minutes from Egg Harbor, you have a lot of options along highway 42. The Rusty Tractor Breakfast Barn is 5 minutes away and serves a great breakfast. One Barrel Brewery and Hatch Distillery are very good. Casey’s BBQ is so good we went twice. Fat Louie’s Olive Oil Company has a great selection. Harbor Ridge Winery is very good and has friendly service. Lautenbach’s Market Winery & Cider Co. is a must visit. We really liked Seaquist Orchards, which is further north (north of Sister Bay) but well worth the visit. We stopped twice and needed a box to carry items out. Of course, Al Johnson’s in Sister Bay is a must too. Go very early to reduce the wait time. The Toft’s have a wonderful property and do it right. We loved being here and hope to stay here again!
