This retreat is the perfect location to relax and gather with family and friends. When not adventuring at the beach, take some time to enjoy fishing off the neighborhood dock at the covered pavilion, play a competitive game of Cornhole, or fire up a good meal on the gas grill.
"Arandel" is a recently built house in the desirable Terramar Beach community and situated on a quiet dead-end road which terminates at conservation land. Enjoy a very short leisurely stroll or 1 minute golf cart ride across the street to the easy beach accesses. Golf cart rentals are available nearby. The front of the home has a covered balcony with sunrise views of Terramar Beach and the Gulf of Mexico. You can watch the pelicans and seabirds soar while you relax in one of the rocking chairs or sit at the pub table sipping your favorite drink and listening to the waves breaking on the beach. Inside we love the spacious open floor plan with plenty of comfortable seating for relaxing in front of the widescreen TV with Xfinity, surfing the internet at the large kitchen island which seats four, or helping to cook up a favorite meal for everyone in the fully equipped kitchen. We've provided everything you need to enjoy your stay from pots and pans, baking ware, cookie sheets, dishes, silverware and utensils. There's a sizable table in the dining area that comfortably seats eight for enjoying family meals and playing games. At the rear of our beach house is a second private deck with seating for two accessed from the main bedroom with views of the marina and open back yard.
Enjoy the days spent lounging on the beach and working on your tan or reading a good book while being entertained by the sandpipers and plovers being chased by the lapping waves in the warm Gulf breeze. At sundown when it's time to leave the beach, there is an enclosed outdoor shower to wash off the salt and sand next to the covered patio with outdoor seating, table, and wood fired BBQ cooker for outside meals.
This home has ceiling fans in all living and sleeping areas along with central air and heating. There are three bedrooms and two bathrooms each decorated with their own coastal vibe. The master bedroom (king size bed) has an en suite bathroom with glass enclosed walk-in shower and double sink vanity, large walk-in closet, high-top dresser, and door for accessing the private rear deck. The large secondary bedroom (queen size bed) has an oversized closet and ample bureau space for storage during your stay. The third bedroom has two bunk beds (one twin over twin the other twin over full) with each having under bed storage drawers, as well as a large dresser and walk-in closet. All bedrooms feature large, wall mounted, flat screen HD televisions, each with access to digital stations by antennae and streaming platforms via guest log-in credentials.
A full-sized washer and dryer are located in the hallway laundry closet for easy access along with an iron and ironing board.
The closest walking access to the beach is across the footbridge at the west end of Verano Drive and then using the driveway/walking path access between the last two houses near the start of the city's protected conservation land. For those who prefer to drive directly onto the beach with their day's supplies, the parking accesses are 1-2 minutes away directly across from the Terramar Beach community entrance or alternatively a little further down the west end next to the conservation land.
If you're looking to get away from the beach and explore, there are plenty of things to do in the city of Galveston for the day. Some of the favorites are shopping in the historic Strand district, Schlitterbahn Waterpark, Moody Gardens, the miniature golf course, and Pleasure Pier.
Spend some time making magical memories with a relaxing get-away or fun-filled family times enjoying the sun and sea at our beach home. You'll feel right at home, just remember to bring along your beach towel and sunscreen!
