Finding the VRBO and gaining entrance was easy -- almost too easy to gain entrance because the keys are just left on the table in the open location. First impressions of the place are good. It's a wide open space and the kitchen accommodations were very nice, furniture was comfy. The high ceilings with many windows give it a very spacious feel. However, upon closer inspection, you can tell this space was flipped. The electrical and kitchen was well done. The finishes of the place were extremely poorly done. The walls are done in contact paper -- not wallpaper -- contact paper. In many places it's put on poorly and/or is coming loose. The transition strips between spaces are about 1/2" higher than floors and not true transition strips so you end up stubbing toes. Trim is "finished" with tape. There are wide gaps in the flooring. The really disappointing part is the claim to be lakeside. It is not. Lake Hayden is not a one minute walk. Not at all. The path to the lake is very difficult to find. I used Map My Walk and it took 10 minutes and is .35 miles from the house. The lovely shared firepit area DOES NOT EXIST. That area is trashy, no chairs, storage units, and is definitely not used by the community members. The views of the lake make it seem like it's a nice area to drink coffee in the morning or have a drink at night. This is not true at all. Lastly, the tiny balcony (Juliet balcony) is very sketch and does not feel safe at all.
