Welcome to the Sapphire Sandbar! We are located in Milford, Connecticut steps away from the beach, no streets to cross for beach access. Water views from almost every room in the house. Located on a private side-street with beach access at the end. Pictures are of private beach, can also walk to Walnut Beach. Enjoy access to the full home, 4 bedrooms, 2.5 baths, a covered outdoor patio, fire pit, and off street parking for multiple cars.

Ample natural light throughout the home. Beach toys, umbrella, chairs, floats, and assorted outdoor games available to use. Plenty of places to relax indoors and out. Enjoy the sunrise from the porch, kick back in the covered patio area, or take in the evening by the outdoor fire pit.

Full Kitchen with Stainless appliances (range, oven, microwave, refrigerator/freezer, dishwasher) and a large farmhouse sink. The kitchen island seats at least 3 and the table table seats 5 comfortably with room for more. Plates, Bowls, Mugs, Cups, Utensils, Pots/Pans provided. Small appliances available for use in home include Keurig Coffeemaker, Drip Coffee Maker, Toaster Oven, Blender. Outdoor propane small grill also available.

Plenty of places for your family to sleep. Linens provided, including sheets, blankets, pillows, towels. (no beach towels provided)

High speed wireless internet available throughout the home. Smart TVs available to watch your favorite platforms (must use your own accounts to view, no logins are provided). There are external security cameras.

Beautiful Home That Left a lot to be Desired

The home itself is beautiful—clean, nicely decorated, and in a great location with close proximity to the beach. It had great potential to be the perfect getaway. Unfortunately, the stay was impacted by how poorly equipped the house was for actual use.We spent weeks planning a menu around grilling outdoors, only to arrive and find a very small grill that was not functional or adequate for our group. When I reached out to Jenn to express our disappointment, her response was curt and unhelpful, which made the situation even more frustrating. I had also reached out prior to our stay to inquire about salt/pepper/other kitchen supplies and got no response. The kitchen was understocked—no olive oil, salt, oven mitts, even lobster crackers (this was a first for us in many years of renting beach houses)—which made cooking more difficult than expected and more time spent in the kitchen than we anticipated. Especially since the patio is wonderful place to hang out, we were stuck cooking and eating indoors. There was also no laundry detergent, soap, or shampoo provided, which was inconvenient for a longer stay. It didn't have enough towels for all of us or enough cleaning supplies to clean up after ourselves. While the property itself is lovely, the lack of basic amenities and the unaccommodating response from Jenn made it hard to enjoy our trip to its full potential. With better communication and a few thoughtful upgrades, this could easily be a 5 star rental.

Why they chose this property

Sapphire Sandbar is an easy walk to ice cream, coffee and some restaurants. When I go on vacation, I prefer not to have to drive anywhere. This location offers some of that. Its also 2 small blocks from Tydes.

What makes this property unique

Its proximity to the beach gives you beach front living at non-beach front prices. The outside living area gives people a place to relax after a day at the beach. Sapphire Sand bar supplies all linens, including beach towels, blankets, beach chairs and umbrella and a cooler. Just pack your bathing suits for THIS vacation!
