I loved this property - right on the bay. I sat on the porch basking in the sun and when the fog came in, I sat on the couch looking at the bay. This was the perfect location to explore the surrounding areas: Tomales, Dillon Beach and Point Reyes. I loved all the interesting art work, beautiful furniture and displays.

We have a small pup that joined us and found the enclosed area very nice. A wonderous place and location... Hog Island oyster farm super close as was Nick's Cove restaurant.

We had a lovely stay along with our dog. The enclosed patio was perfect and we had nice sunset walks on the gravel lane. Multiple locations available for kayaking in the bay. The place is just as described inside and outside.

We had a wonderful weekend stay at this charming waterfront cottage. The host has put a lot of care and thought into every detail of the space that gives it a warm, eclectic feel that’s both stylish and cozy. Highly recommend for a peaceful, scenic escape. We’re looking forward to coming back.

A birthday get-away

It was a comfortable and serene home in an absolutely gorgeous setting. It felt like we had truly gotten away even though we only stayed one night. So grateful

Beautiful house, right on the bay

We had such a lovely time here. The place has an amazing view of the Bay right out of the living room. We loved the decor, art, and furniture of this place, the owner has great and interesting taste. If you are here for oysters, this location has great proximity to a few Hog Island locations, just minutes away. But be sure to make reservations in advance, they book up!

Amazing Stay

Thank you so much Dana for your generous accommodations. We couldn't have imagined a more special place for us to get married. You went above and beyond as a host, and we feel so special that we got to celebrate in your space. Thank you for your generosity and we look forward to returning soon.

We've enjoyed a lot of vacations on Tomales Bay, but this one was incredibly memorable! Right in the waterfront, easy reach to Nick's Cove and the Marshall Store, and so comfortable. The host has done an incredible job of building and decorating with textures and art and furniture. Some short-term rentals go for the "generic" but here you find your host has curated the space for the perfect combination of comfort and interest. Its both spacious and cozy, which is a very fine line to draw. Our dogs loved walking on the private road away from traffic, and my wife and I loved the quiet comfort of such a great space. Will definitely return!

Charming Cottage Right on the Water

This little cottage is chock-full of character—thoughtfully decorated, cozy, and with an unbeatable view of the bay. You are literally steps from the water, which makes for an incredibly peaceful stay.A few things to keep in mind:The driveway is very narrow, with just one way in and out—best suited for small vehicles. The kitchenette is perfect for morning coffee or reheating takeout, but not ideal for full cooking.Cell service can be spotty on the drive in, so be sure to download maps or directions in advance. The cottage has a lovely selection of books—perfect for unwinding. If you can, bring a kayak to fully enjoy the waterfront location. While it’s quiet and relaxing, it’s not completely secluded—there are neighbors and a shared yard.Overall, a unique and memorable spot to relax by the bay.

Beautiful location but amenities lacking

The place is very nice and beautifully decorated but we had some issues with ants in the kitchenette as soon as we arrived and again the morning before leaving. We also weren’t able to shower because the design of the shower made us feel like the entire bathroom would flood if we ran the water for too long. One of the doors also didn’t seem close properly so we felt a little unsafe sleeping at night. There was also a 150 cleaning fee but the space didn’t feel like it gets deep cleaned as there was build up in the bathroom sink faucet and furniture being dusty. We were also asked to take out our trash upon departure. Overall a quiet getaway but we wished we could’ve enjoyed the space more comfortably.

Incredible and relaxing stay!!! Place was so cozy and ornate. So much to look at inside and on the property, let alone the gorgeous view!!! No cooking area but you can bring a camp stove and use the bbq. Dana was very kind and helpful. We had no problem with her being so closez but just for people who want privacy, know that its a shared property with the owner. We cant wait to come back someday

Fantastic stay right on the water, in a beautifully decorated Carriage House. Very clean and we had everything that we needed for a 4 nights getaway. The bed in the family room was big enough to comfortably accommodate our 6’ son. Our bedroom was comfortable and spacious. Kitchen doesn’t have burners, but has a small oven and microwave and was plenty for us to make breakfast or lunch. We did go out to restaurants for dinners. We rented kayaks and paddled every day. For bioluminescence, make sure to go out with a guide, since it has to be pitch black to see it. Phenomenal experience! Our dog was very happy to be at the end of the private safe road. There is a small beautiful backyard that is fully fenced in. You can take your dog for a walk along the beach on that private road.We have an extra large SUV, parked it along the “peace sign” and were able to do a u turn no problem. Owner was amazing, kind and very welcoming. We loved everything and hope to be back!
