About this property

Private Exec Home: Incredible Sand / Sunset

This property offers complete seclusion and privacy which is very important this year. This property is located about one-half mile off the public road on a private drive, then 600 feet down the tree-lined driveway to the luxury home on the lake. Much of this side of the lake borders the Chequamegon National Forest with opportunities to see many animals and birds on a regular basis. This is a residential neighborhood with homes spaced well apart from each other where the neighbors respect each other’s privacy. Summer rentals Sat - Sat only.

The house faces southwest with stunning views of the lake and forest from every room and deck of the house plus spectacular sunsets each night from the privacy of your dock located on 335 feet of gorgeous sand shoreline. You can’t see a single neighbor from this special place. The sand is wide and long giving everyone plenty of room to play. The yard has a park-like setting with flower beds and raspberry patches surrounding the property. To maintain this serene shoreline we do NOT allow Wake Surfing Boats (No Wake Enhancement). Tubing, skiing, wakeboarding is encouraged while maintaining respectful distances from shore and other boaters.

The main floor consists of the master bedroom with hand carved log queen bed, private deck and large bathroom with shower and corner jetted tub. The open living space has a family room with a vaulted ceiling and floor-to-ceiling fireplace plus a wall of tall windows facing the lake. The full kitchen has stainless appliances, plenty of cupboards and counter space plus a large 4-stool island. A family-sized table with large windows on two sides rounds out the dining area of this open concept space where the entire family is part of the action. There is also a half-bath off the living area.

The main floor also has a four season porch with love seat and two rocking chairs as well as a small table for board games, cards or a romantic dinner. The entire corner of the house is surrounded by a large deck that overlooks the lake with sunset views and includes two patio tables, umbrellas and a number of chairs. There is also a large covered porch on the forest side of the house with peaceful views especially in the morning when the sun lights it. This porch has a small table to enjoy a quiet meal and two rocking chairs for the utmost in quiet relaxation. Countless hours are typically spent on the porches and decks.

An open stairway with hand-carved log railings takes you to the second floor. There is a small open office in the loft area overlooking the living space. There is also a full bathroom on this floor with tub and shower. The first large bedroom includes a hand carved log queen bed and is decorated in a bear theme with views of the lake and forest. The second large bedroom has a hand carved log king bed and is decorated with a wolf theme with views of the lake and yard. Off of the king bedroom is an 8’ x 8’ walk in closet that has a twin bed and frequently houses a young guest instead of clothes (thus the 4.5 bedrooms).

The walkout lower level has a bedroom with a hand carved log queen bed. This space also has a full bathroom with tub and shower, family room with fireplace and leather furniture.

The yard only has a half dozen wide steps that get you down to the lake. There are two outdoor fire pits that make fires possible no matter the direction of the wind. A log swing and log chairs make for great family time sharing the days adventures around the fire. A small hill near the lake includes an open gazebo area surrounded by a flower garden with a table and chairs that make a great place to have breakfast or watch the sunset.

Use of a paddleboat, 12’ fishing row boat and aluminum canoe are included in the rental. Note: Saturday to Saturday rentals during Summer Peak.

Fall Vacation
Do you remember the feeling you had when you said goodbye to a favorite house or apartment before moving on? That was the feeling I had yesterday when leaving for the next segment of our vacation. This home is very well appointed, full of creature comforts (warm throws, a well-stocked kitchen, and beautiful decorating) and full of light even on cloudy days. Lots of fish off the dock, beautiful grounds, and complete privacy add to your feeling of contentment. Thank you for the opportunity to stay in your beautiful home for a week!

Great Experience
This is a beautiful home and property, quiet and peaceful. Lots of room for 6 adults, an infant and a toddler. We rented a pontoon and enjoyed fishing and swimming in Diamond Lake.

About the host

Host profile image
Our family has been coming to the area for years and years and we have many relatives in the area. We built this custom log-sided executive home in 2002 and have enjoyed it with our extended family. Our children are out of college which means less time at the lake so we decided to share it with others.

Why they chose this property

The 335' sand beach is incredible. The 300 year old hemlock trees are amazing. Sunsets from the dock are a photo lover's dream. The lake is small enough to be private and quite yet large enough to take in some water sports. The house was built with an open concept in mind so the entire family is always part of the action.

What makes this property unique

The fishing on this lake is managed for large walleye and northern. You will see loons and eagles everyday. The birds go crazy by the feeders. Raspberries grow wild along the entire drive and private road which is great for hiking. The stargazing for shooting stars and the milky way is second to none. Did we mention the sand beach and sunset views?
