About this property

Picturesque Family Lake Side Cabin

Come drink in the views of the amazing Portage Lake. Sit a while and listen to the loons call and enjoy a campfire. Relax in the sun or splash on the shore. Enjoy a round of golf at Portage Hills Country Club. Climb nearby Hedgehog Mountain for a scenic view of Portage and St. Froid Lakes.
The "Maine" Cabin at West Shore Cabins, LLC has 3 bedrooms, one on the first floor with a full size bed. The second floor hosts two bedrooms one with a king and the other with a full size bed and standard crib. Cabin has a heat pump for heating/cooling on the first floor and air conditioning on the second floor for comfortable sleeping. Towels and linens are included along with toilet paper and paper towels. Dish and hand soap is available and we have extra toothbrushes if you forget yours. We draw water off the lake for our plumbing so you'll need to bring water for cooking and drinking. The town has an artesian well on Seaplane St that is tested regularly. We do not provide a container to collect water at this time.
Northern Maine boasts some of the best foliage in the state and with Aroostook County's back roads your chances of seeing wildlife are impressive. There are unforgettable views and memories to be made. Come and sit a while at our lakeside getaway

The cabin was clean and cozy, and the showers were nice and hot. It’s a peaceful spot and we enjoyed our stay. A few small issues — the grill was out of propane, no extra trash bags, the bathroom was chilly, and the septic and fire alarms went off during our stay. With a little maintenance, it would be a perfect getaway

Portage Lake Bird hunting

Camp was extremely clean, had all the utensils etc that we needed we were hunting everyday leaving at 5:30am and getting back after 7:00pm. Pretty much cooked our meals and slept. Nice place. Thank you Ms. Jandreau

Memory Maker

This lakefront property comfortably sleeps six. The kitchen is more than adequately stocked with utensils, pots and pans, dishes, and appliances. The bathroom has beautiful towels and tooth brushes and toothpaste in case yours go missing. With small trees abutting the deck, one gets a birdseye view of the lake just feet away. Make sure you have a full pot of coffee. You’ll want to savor the moments shared with the wildlife around. The loons cry at night will certainly cure any insomniac. You will be shocked at how fast time passes leaving you hungry for more. This cottage is worthy of multiple visits that will not be regretted.
