About this property
Quiet Beachfront Home at the Base Of Diamond Head
Please no party or event inquiries.
As you drive onto the property of this Historic Home, built in 1937 by Charles W. Dickey and recently restored, you are greeted by your own private park. Native Kukui and Ulu trees rustle in the cool trade wind breezes. Fruit trees such as mango, lime, avocado and banana trees blossom. As you look across the large sprawling yard the first thing that catches your eye is the crystal blue waters of the Pacific Ocean. Walk through the breezeway doors feel the refreshing trade winds blow and marvel at the views of the true Hawaii. As you continue onto the oceanfront lanai sitting a top a white sandy beach the smells, sights, and sounds of the ocean instantly take all your worries away.
This spectacular home is split into two main areas connected by a breezeway. On one side are private and quiet air conditioned bedrooms, full baths and amenities to accommodate our guests. The other side is open Hawaii living at its finest. Experience true indoor outdoor living. Push open the large doors and bring all the beauty of the outside into the living room and dining rooms. Period appropriate furnishings invite you to lounge and relax and absorb all the beauty that Hawaii has to offer. The living room has 20 ft plus vaulted ceilings and a fireplace set in a coral wall. Rich Koa and Mahogany woods encase and embellish the lines of this classic home. Original stamped and stained cement floors run throughout the home. There is an open and airy modern kitchen with seating for 8 around island, laundry and powder bath.
There is a full bathroom with changing room off the breezeway prior to entering the bedroom wing of the home. The bedroom wing is 3 large private suites each with its own full bathroom. They are separated from the main living area of the home and make for a quiet and relaxing sleep.
For the early risers walk out onto the beach in the morning go for a swim or a surf and watch the sunrise over Diamond Head and the ocean. Enjoy a refreshing snorkel and you can see turtles , fish and find some great shells. The beach at certain times of year, when the sand is right, has great beach combing for all different kinds of sea glass. Watch the sun set and the moon rise from the oceanfront seating area or while you barbeque up a delicious dinner. In the winter months enjoy whale watching right from the lanai. There is year round surfing right in front of the house. If you enjoy water sports If you have children they will enjoying running around the enormous yard. A last of it's kind place on the shores of Waikiki and Diamond Head.
Just steps from your private oasis is Waikiki and Kapiolani Park. We have beach cruisers that you can take riding around Diamond Head, to the park or Waikiki. You can easily take a stroll along the shoreline promenade and watch the sunset as you walk to fine dining restaurants on the gold coast or Waikiki.
