3 Bedroom, 2 Bath town home right in the heart of Tucson.
My home has all the charm of a traditional Santa Fe style home, with Saltillo tile, beehive fireplace, large, colorful kitchen and a covered back patio with views of the Catalina Mountains. There's a community pool in the development for your use.
The house is furnished and fully equipped with all modern appliances: refrigerator, ice maker, oven, microwave, dishwasher, disposal, washer, dryer and barbecue on the back patio.
You are a 5 minute bike ride out the front door to the famous Rillito River Path, which is a 21 mile path that traverses the city, and a 10 minute bike ride (5 minute drive) directly to the University of Arizona down private Mountain Road. Tucson was recently recognized as the only U.S. city as a UNESCO World Gastronomy site, and our home is located just around the corner from the "Campbell Corridor" where many of these great restaurants are located. In addition, there is a weekend Farmer's Market located at St. Phillips Plaza on this corridor, which is about a half mile away.
Sprouts, Trader Joe's and LA Fitness are conveniently located within 2 minutes drive, and my home is only 10-15 minutes from downtown Tucson, where all of the new and vibrant restaurants and activities are emerging. You can even hop on the light rail just 5 minutes from the house and ride that into downtown.
Come see what draws people from all over the world to Tucson and enjoy a stay in our little hidden gem.

This is a very comfortable, clean and well equipped house with a private patio on a quiet street. It’s conveniently located within walking distance of the Loop Trail and many restaurants. Chris is an excellent host. We look forward to returning.
Host was great! Excellent communication and made our nerves about VRBO settle. Check in was flawless and explained well. The house was great! Had everything we needed and having the washer and dryer was sooooo helpful! Pool was literally across the small road and great for the kids in the evening. Would stay here again for sure!

Kate thank you for your kind remarks. Loved having you and your family as guests. All the best!
This was our second stay here. Chris is a great host- easy to reach, quick to reply, friendly and helpful. The house is clean, comfortable, spacious and ideally located in mid-town Tucson. Close to the Loop trail, the university, shopping, Tucson Mall and many restaurants. The neighborhood is friendly, safe and quiet.

Chris
Great location to U of AZ campus! Very quiet neighborhood. I felt very safe staying there alone. I cooked for college kids and the kitchen had everything I needed!
I was expecting a private pool however the pool was very close and not crowded even thought it was a community pool!
House was clean !
We had just come from staying at a hotel in Scottsdale, cramped into one room. This was a welcome pleasure to have the whole house for all five of us at less than the cost in Scottsdale. Chris was very communicative regarding check in and the couple of times we connected with him at the beginning and end of our stay. The house is very shaded so it would stay cool on hot summer days. There were 3 rooms, a main living area, eating area, kitchen, and 2 full bathrooms with a covered small patio that had a bbq (we did not use it). Location was perfect for us. Would definitely stay again.
We stayed for two months and had a brief visit with our daughter and son-in-law. It’s a modest older home in north central Tucson. It was very clean (big deal!) and the owner, Chris, is great. But the location is superb. There are four grocery stores, each about a mile and a quarter away depending on which way you go. You have Fry’s, Safeway, Trader Joe’s and Sprouts. The Guadalajara Original Grill is a very good Mexican restaurant you can easily walk to. Downtown is 20 minutes. So is Sabino Canyon. The national parks are a bit farther but easy. It is right in the middle of everything. You can easily ride a bike to the Loop and then you can ride forever. Pickleball and tennis are 10 minutes away at the racquet club.
So clean, convenient, great owner. It’s a simple older home so if you’re looking for a palace it won’t be your thing.
I tried to rebook for next year but it is already taken. The word is out.

Quiet and comfortable
A pleasant place to stay. Quiet neighborhood allowed for a great night's sleep every night. The patio was terrific. Air fresheners in every room were a little overwhelming for the senses, though.
Note to owner: master bath sink stopper needs to be fixed so it can open and close properly. It was stuck closed when we arrived, so my husband spent 30 minutes trying to fix it only to discover the stopper plunger wasn't even connected to the mechanism under the sink. Also, you might consider adding another towel rack in front bathroom to accommodate the six guests you are otherwise set up for. (We were only four, but there wasn't enough towel space for the two people sharing the front bathroom.)

Perfect base for biking
The condo was perfect for our biking trip in Tucson: just a few blocks away from the beautiful Rillito River Park section of the Loop. The kitchen and bathrooms were well-stocked, and the condo stayed wonderfully cool (if a little dark) in the sunny, 80-degree weather.

Great location for sightseeing in Tucson.
Home more than met our expectations. Owner very easy to work with. Great restaurants in the area. We love hiking in the desert and you can visit both sides of the desert quite easily from this location. Home was well maintained in we always felt safe. We were a short distance from Reid Park which we thoroughly enjoyed along with the zoo. Lots of little touches in the house which made if feel like home. Would recommend this home for anyone visiting the area. Thanks to Chris's parents for all the help and information they provided. P.S. We love Sprouts.

The house was as described, only better.
I and my two grandsons stayed at the Santa Fe style charmer for 30 days in July, 2016. The location was perfect for us. We were close to the library, Tucson Racquet and Swim club, the university and our place of business. The swimming pool is perfect for that end of day cooling off.
We found the house clean and well equipped. All of the appliances worked well. Many of our meals were prepared on the grill. When we were not eating in, we sampled some of Tucson's myriad of Mexican restaurants.
The covered parking was important to us as the daytime temperatures always exceeded 100 degrees Fahrenheit.
While in Tucson we also enjoyed visits to the Pima Air Park, Arizona Historical Museum, and Desert Museum as well as hiking and camping nearby.
I would definitely recommend this property to my friends and will seek this rental if we return to Tucson.

Jerry,
Thank you so much for your kind review. We are so glad the location worked well for your needs and are pleased you were happy with the accommodations. You were a delight to have and appreciate your willingness to refill the propane tank on the grill for us when it ran out. We would love to have you stay with us again in the future if the need exists. All our best!

Great property, quiet location
This is a great property! Convenient location and very quiet area. Pool is just across the street. Kitchen is stocked nicely with whatever you may need. Secluded patio with a grill. Large space for dining indoors or hanging out watching tv. The owner is extremely helpful and accessible. Will definitely stay here again next time we're in Tucson.

Very good
Our group consisted of two couples and dog and we very much enjoyed our stay here. The property was spacious and clean with a well-stocked kitchen, comfortable living area, pleasantly shaded patio area and front carport. The swimming pool just a few feet from the carport, although not heated and too cold for use during our stay, was still a nice area to lounge in the sunshine.
The house is within a 15 to 20 minute walk to some great restaurants and pubs including el Saguarito where we enjoyed every taco Tuesday and their nightly entertainment. Also walking distance or short drives away were grocery stores, shopping centres, weekend markets & horse races at Rio Rillito.
Great bike paths & running/walking trails were along the Rio but unfortunately the bikes originally detailed in the listing were not available.
Several reasonably priced golf courses were within 30 minutes (Forty-Niner, Quarry Pines, Crooked Tree & El Conquistador) as were numerous hiking trails in the surrounding mountains as described in a book left by the owners.

Thank you for your kind review, it was a pleasure having you in our home. If you visit Tucson again in the future, we would love to have you stay with us again.
Thank you for the comment about the bike. We had a bike there through the rental of January but moved it to our other home so we could use it. We updated our listing to reflect that, but perhaps the update did not reach you by the time of your stay. Nevertheless, we appreciate the feedback.
All our best!

I'm originally from Albuquerque, New Mexico, but have lived in Tucson for 21 years. I have lived in NYC, L.A., Phoenix and Tucson. I am a passionate travel photographer, enjoy yoga, hiking and skiing in the winter time. I've also had the chance to travel all over the world and love discussing favorite travel destinations with my guests.
Why they chose this property
This was my first home in Tucson. Tucson is not super easy to traverse by freeway, so what I liked about this home when I bought it, was it's easy, close access to everything you want to get to. The location is hard to beat. The home is walking distance to the famous Rillito River path, where you can walk, ride your bike or rollerblade.
What makes this property unique
There are excellent restaurant choices for breakfast, lunch or dinner, and varying from casual to upscale, all within 5-10 minutes from my home.
