This condo is oceanfront and looks onto Honl Beach.

The condo has tile flooring through out the unit. There are double wide sliding glass doors leading to the lanai and beach.

The bedroom has a king size bed and flat screen TV with full cable.

The bathroom has a decorator sink and a tile and glass stall shower,

The kitchen has an over the stove micro wave oven, electric stove and oven, dish washer, and a refrigerator/freezer with ice maker. Custom seamless counter tops and sink are featured in the kitchen bar.

The Dining area has a glass top table that seats 4.

The living room has a queen size convertible sofa, flat screen TV with cable, and air-conditioning

There is free WiFi in the unit.

The Kona Reef Resort is less than a quarter mile from Kona town. Walking distance to many restaurants and night spots. The reef is right next to Honl Beach. It is also 9/10 of a mile from the start/finish line of the Annual Ironman Championship.

As we live on the Island in Kailua Kona, we are readily available to assist our guests with information on local site-seeing.

Clean and Cozy!!!

My family and I had a great stay at Paulette and Marty's condo in Kailua-Kona. The condo was clean and stocked with everything our small family could need. It was so nice to have easy access to Honl's Beach and to be within easy walking distance to town and nearby amenities.

The condo was lovely. It was clean, nicely decorated, linens were plenty and the kitchen was well stocked. The only down side is the view is somewhat obstructed. The complex is great and well maintained., The gas grills are immaculate and great to use.

Perfect Location and Great Stay!

We had a wonderful time staying in this unit. The unit is a short walk from downtown Kona, and covered parking was great to keep our vehicle cool while not in use. The unit is clean and well-stocked. The Kona coffe and hand-written note from Marty, the owner, was a nice touch on arrival. Enjoying coffee while watching the waves on the lanai was a perfect way to start the day! Thanks!

Great property and location. Had to travel to a different beach as there were homeless people living on the beach next to us. Place was clean and had many amenities to offer. Used the cooler, the chairs and towels when we went out. Not close for snorkeling though.

Awesome location

Great property with Honl’s Beach 20 ft away. Had everything you needed to make your stay enjoyable snorkeling gear, beach chairs, shade umbrellas, and everything you would need in the kitchen. Walking distance to all the hot spots downtown with a great farmer’s market for fresh fruit and vegetables. Highly recommend this property.

Absolutely wonderful - Highly recommended

This condo is a recently beautifully remodeled vacation rental in the heart of Kailua Kona, and I must say it exceeded all our expectations. The location is absolutely perfect, with stunning ocean views and easy access to local shops, restaurants, and beaches. The condo was immaculately clean, beautifully decorated, and well-equipped with all amenities. The owners have provided everything you will need for a very comfortable vacation. Kona Reef is on the beach, and the breathtaking sunsets and viewing jumping whales are just a few steps from your lanai.Micolyn, our host, is incredibly attentive and responsive, ensuring that every aspect of our stay was perfect. I can't recommend this condo highly enough. We have stayed at this Koan Reef condo complex in the past and will return to this particular condo in our future visits to Kailua Kona. It truly is a little piece of paradise!

Nice location in a dated condo

Nicely located, although the listing photo from the back patio is old and tall plants behind the wall now block the ocean view, so not having that view while seated out back was disappointing. To access the beach, we had to either hop the rock wall or exit the front of the complex and enter via the busy, noisy road so I wouldn't call it "direct access". The beach itself is nice enough and we enjoyed occasionally sitting and relaxing there. It did not seem too safe for swimming. There were a couple benign people that seemed to have taken up residence on the beach and a tent was pitched near the road during our stay, however, they were quiet and kept to themselves.The condo itself needs some love and did not feel amenable for just hanging out. It's very dated throughout and the bedroom felt dark and claustrophobic. The furniture in the living area is not comfortable. It's nice to hear the waves crashing through the open sliding doors to the patio, however, it's accompanied by the occasional roar or load music of vehicles passing on the adjacent busy road. The complex is quiet and a good launch point to all the activities on the island or to walk to restaurants or shopping nearby or downtown. We wouldn't stay here again, but had a good time.

This is a very nice property. It is in an older condo complex that is built around a lush courtyard and pool. Our condo faced the beach and was very quiet.

Great Location Has Everything

Property is great!! Does need somewhat of a deep clean but overall outstanding! Has everything you could imagine, fully equipped kitchen, beach gear and extras. You can’t beat the location.

Clean and compact condo with all the beach gear you need! We enjoyed the spectacular view and soothing sound of the ocean every morning! The pool area was refreshing and there were bbq’s available to grill food. Great space for two!!

Family Trip

Great location! We loved how easy it was to walk to the beach and walk to downtown. We had a family of four with little ones and were able to all fit. Really appreciated having a high chair and pack and play already there making travel easier for us. We would happily stay here again!

10 day stay on the Kona Coast

This is a great value. On the beach, short walk to all the restaurants and activities in Kona. Nice pool and hot tub area...and the hot tub was actually "hot"! The owners were very supportive with area and activity info before our arrival. We would happily return for another stay.

I’ve been coming to Hawaii to visit a couple times a year for over 10 years. I spend most the time on the Hilo side with family. This trip was scheduled as a romantic getaway with my boyfriend. We love the sunsets and dining on the Kona side we will do it again.

Unit was clean. Unit was old and looked as though alot of visitors had passed through. Needed a redo ,especially the lighting. Owners were cool. Nice place overall. Might stay there again but probably not.

Great view

This condo was perfect for us. It has an amazing view! It is close enough to walk to restaurants and shopping but far enough away from the crowds. The condo has all the beach equipment you need. The kitchen was well stocked. The tv quit working while we were there and the owners responded immediately. I would definitely recommend this place. The complex was clean and well kept. If you choose to visit this area I highly recommend the manta ray swim as it was the highlight of our trip.

Perfect Setting, Great Amenities

It’s hard to beat a beachfront view! Easy access to restaurants and shopping, when those are necessary, but even better are the opportunities in the surrounding area, from Kona coffee tours to snorkeling with manta rays to exploring the history of the kings of Hawai’i, the place where Captain Cook landed and was killed, and the missionaries built the first church in Hawai’i (it’s still there and in use). So many things to see and do! And the owners here provide all the necessities to do those things and more. Plus, simple things like salt and pepper and other condiments that so many places don’t have are provided by the hosts here. We were impressed, and we are frequent visitors to Hawai’i, so have seen the whole range of places.

Excellent location and comfortable space

This condo is in the perfect location to walk to all the attractions, shops and restaurants in Kailua-Kona. We enjoyed watching the beach volleyball games each evening after sunset. It is central enough to drive to Hilo, South Point and the north end (not all in one day!) and many points in between. The condo has everything you need to make meals in (eating out here is crazy $$$$), and we didn't need the air conditioner at all with the overhead fans on and the patio door open letting in the ocean breeze. The only thing that would have made it a higher rating in my opinion is to have been on a higher floor to get better view, but we enjoyed being able to walk out the patio around to the pool and hot tub area. The hot tub was never crowded and the pool was the perfect temperature. All in all a very lovely stay - if we come back to the Big Island we will definitely stay here and recommend it to friends.
