Amazing spacious home with ocean view huge terrace a private salt pool and AC
Whether vacationing alone or with family and close friends come explore St Lucia from this beautiful spacious home located on the east Coast of the island. This home feels like Luxury in the rain forest with a stunning salt water pool. There are 4 bedrooms all with their own en suite bathroom and their own balcony and AC. The house is set on 1 acre of lush tropical forest with exotic fruit trees and flowers and a 13 meter salt water pool. Your rental has a fully equipped kitchen to prepare your own meals.
OUR POSITION ON THE ISLAND: Half way between the north and south sides of the island this location will allow you to find wonderful beaches, hiking trails and stunning waterfalls. Laborie is 30 mn away, Soufriere is just 45 mn away, Castries 45 mn away, Rodney baie 1:15h away.
ACTIVITIES: There are plenty activities to do on the island, we can help you organize tours during your stay if needed. You can also just lounge around the pool to the sound of the wind and the singing birds. It is a perfect spot to be isolated in nature off the beaten tracks, do some hiking right in your backyard with beautiful waterfalls to explore. There are ceiling fans and mosquito nets in all the bedrooms. Remember to bring bug repellents as we are in the tropics and suntan lotion. We also suggest you bring a pair of light long pants, long sleeves and socks for the bug times (4pm-7pm) which is at dusk if you desire to stay outside the house. After 8PM it is lovely outside and you can have dinners on the terrace and enjoy the constant lovely breeze.
WATER: Considering you should NOT drink the water from the tap in St Lucia, we offer a 2 gallon drinking water from the best spring on the island (2 miles away)at arrival as courtesy of the house but when it runs out you can do the refilling of the 5 gallons bottle yourselves and that will cost you US$3.50 it's on the way to Vieux Fort( i put a picture of the place in the photo gallery so you can spot it in a car).
CLEANING:Albina the property manager/housekeeper will be around the property everyday for a couple of hours and will do a light cleaning ( broom and dust, please wash your own dishes or use the dishwasher). A change of towels is done every 3-4 days and a big cleaning with change of linen is done every week. For short term rental the cleaning fee is included in your rental.

Amazing stay in this private house, very helpful host who helped us organise our trip and was there when ever we needed We spent hours on the terrace just enjoying the view. The infinity salt pool is the cherry on top of the cake it was hard to pull the kids out of thereI was there with my family and totally recommend it, spacious clean you can actually relaxAlbina the house keeper was very friendly will definitely come back to this magical place.
Villa Colibri is simply lovely. The rooms are large, well-furnished and comfortable. The pool and the view are glorious. The house and grounds are well maintained and Razia and Albina went out of their way to make my trip more enjoyable. The quick 30-minute trip from the airport is a big advantage when arriving and leaving. Overall this was a terrific vacation and the property was a great home base for enjoying the island.

I am so happy you had a great time at villa Colibri, this kind of review is very encouraging and heartwarming.
I hope the remaining of your stay in st Lucia keeps being amazing.
Happy holidays to you and your family!
Our family enjoyed our time together in this relaxing atmosphere. The views are gorgeous, the private pool ideal, and the house accommodations were all that was needed. We had a little trouble finding the place as initially our gps wasn’t working and the sign indicating our turn was so faded, it was barely readable. But we made it and the week was lovely!

The experience was great. The home was beautiful and inviting. The host was very receptive to any concerns we had. Harvey is very laid back and calming. I plan to visit again once the quarantine is lifted and hope this property is available.
The villa is absolutely stunning. The views are unrivalled. Razia and Harvey are friendly and helpful (Razia helped us find our way to a local waterfall). The rooms are beautiful and the beds are super comfy. I wish we could have stayed longer. There are two dogs who belong to the owners and they made my stay even better!
The pool is clean and a lot bigger than it looks on the photos. In fact, none of the photos do the place justice. This place is worth the money for the spectacular views alone.
I truly hope I will be able to return one day. The sooner the better.
Thank you for the opportunity to stay in your glorious place Razia! See you soon ♥️

A piece of what I imagine paradise to be. This beautiful villa is nestled away in the middle of the rainforest. The scenery is stunning and the swimming pool is bigger and better than the pictures show. It even lights up different colours at night. We stayed in Aug and it was extremely hot. Would of benefitted from air con but you can’t have it all. The cleanliness of the villa was outstanding. Be prepared for midges and bites and take pack plenty of repellants. Note that the villa is only open to guests on the top floor. This was ample for our party of people. We so enjoyed looking at and tasting the tropical fruits around the villa

Dear Sarah
Happy you had a nice stay, the season you chose to visit has something to do with the heat, july august September are the hotter months; from December to June the house is very breezy no need for AC we even provide covers as it gets chilly at night. We are in the middle of the rainforest so as you say you can’t have it all the beauty of the rainforest and no bugs but if you are well prepared to go to a tropical place then there is no worry.
From the video you sent me you seem to have had the best of times around the pool.
And thank you for that little note you sent my cleaning lady saying you had the best of times thanks to her, that was very thoughtful.
Thank you for choosing to be with us.
Be well
Cheers

Beautiful! Relaxing! Spacious!
Five retired or wanna bee retired girl friends spent 7 days at this beautiful property! It was so relaxing, clean and beautiful! Each room had it's privacy and view! It was indeed spacious and allowed a meeting place for all to come together for meals and to look out at the beauty of the island!
Because of our location, we hired a driver, Lambert for all our excursions. Lambert was exceptional! The property manager Wilbertha was " icing on the cake." She was so knowledgeable about the island. Her hospitality was really infectious. She made our trip so inviting and comfortable.
Because of the steep hill to the hotel we only went to eat at the restaurant once and When the WiFi was down we sent the younguns up the hill to confirm our reservations.
This trip was a once in a life vacation. Very restful and peaceful!

Thank you for your review and for choosing to stay with us at villa colibri
I had a fair time but I figured although the other 3 people that didn't come on the trip my cousin & I would still have access to the other bedrooms if we wanted to switch or if something was wrong with a problem in one of the bedrooms which did happen with my cousin's room but the doors were locked and no access was given. I was told by the person who facilitated the cleaning stated she didn't want to clean all the bedrooms although I thought it was her job & why we tipped her. Another problem I had was paying for air conditioning; $250 for 6 days? I don't know how the owner came to that amount especially with only access to 2 out of 5 bedrooms & a kitchen/livingroom but sie la vie! Anyway the maid & driver were nice. I think I'll stay in the U.S. for awhile in a hotel for my next birthday.

Hi Sharonn
This is by far the worst review we ever had since we started renting.
Sorry you had such a bad time, I understand you ended up being 2 instead of 5 and your boyfriend didn’t come, and you had a cyclone etc but please don’t blame it on the rental. It clearly states on the site that we make only how ever many bedrooms you request.
You said 2 should be enough so we prepared the best 2 bedrooms in the house. I gave you a break on the AC $35 per day for the 2 bedrooms and the large living and dinning area and kitchen ( only all inclusive hotels don’t charge for AC on the island as electricity price is super high , but check the price of a room nothing compared to our whole villa).
I know I cannot make it better for you, just imagine how a different experience you would have had if all your party made it!
Cheers

Grounds and view are beautiful. If you are looking for a quiet spot away from all the action, without other tourists on top of you, this is the spot for you. No beach or restaurant in walking distance, you’ll need a car. Pitons, Castries and Northend where the action is are anywhere from 45mins to 1.5hrs drive away so plan accordingly for outings. There is no AC and den main family area fan was broken for our stay so it was pretty hot, but no AC was listed, so that is not a ding, just plan for being hot. The pool was very refreshing and whole family enjoyed it. We had a bad storm at the end of our stay that took out power, water, phone and cell towers. Again, not the property or owners fault and they graciously extended our stay an extra day due to canceled flights. With St Lucia trips I recommend you take extra clothes, medication and have backup plans at home for the “what if“ of unexpected storms. Airport closes completely even when you think it’s not that bad weather wise. Razia and Albina were responsive and helpful.

Thank you Jennifer for your kind words, it’s been indeed very unusually hot in St Lucia and it does take time sometimes to fix anything on the island.
I hope overall you enjoyed your trip even with a storm at the end, happy you made it safely home!

Girls Trip 2025
The house was beautiful. However, in this review, I’m going to give my honest feed back. Our flight was delayed by an hour. When contacting the property manager Albina, she suggested that we should go food shopping first before we got to the villa- which we did. But in between getting picked up & going food shopping, I got 10 phone calls asking where I was at, how long it will take me to get the property which I thought was insane. Also, on one phone call, Albina hung up on me which I thought was very unprofessional. She was very unwelcoming even in showing us around the house. She was on the property a lot and unannounced too. My room had no hot water, so I had to use an adjacent room for the shower. My friend’s bathroom door locked on her out of no where. Albina showed up unannounced to get laundry, we were on the balcony & was locked out because she pulled the latch on the door. We had to open the window, climb through and open the door because we couldn’t get in contact with Albina. I contacted Razia & her response was I’m in NYC, there’s nothing I can do from here. On the last day, as we were leaving, we didn’t get a how was your stay or anything in that manner but it felt like a hurry you can get out now and she said have a safe flight- not even a text or a thank you from Razia herself to see how things are going. I won’t be renting this property again. As a renter, you should feel welcomed and have some privacy. Clearly here, I didn’t feel that.

These ladies were terrible communicators, we never had as many issues basically because of lack of communication.
I don't know how they kept locking themselves out( a first in 8 years we are in business ) from bathrooms to terraces ....and they needed solutions right away; the reason guests love our house is because it is very private and we leave them alone( we don't live in the property); but i think they needed a full staff to be on the premises to care for them 24/7.
I understand a girls trip is usually to have fun drink smoke and be loud but you can also have consideration for your hosts; sorry to say but i think they would have been better off in an all inclusive resorts to expect that kind of service.
Please check other reviews if you are interested in renting our peaceful home, this review is not at all representative of who we are or what we offer.
The villa is spacious with great views. Beds are very comfortable, with (essential) mosquito nets. Kitchen is adequate but without much work surface.
Swimming pool is fantastic, long enough to swim lengths and the water is warm.
It is away from tourist centres. However it is not isolated, in fact the grass strimming in the neighbouring property was loud (about one day a week), and the traffic on the main road can just be heard – especially at weekends when motorcyclists seem to test their machines on the hill. That aside it is usually very quiet and peaceful.
It is hard to find the villa without a satnav or Google map type application (ask for the Fox Grove Inn – it is next door – but that is currently closed so there are no signposts from the main road).
Albina kept the villa spotlessly clean. She also fixed several problems that arose. We believe we were just unlucky and had problems with the water supply, toilet not flushing, a pool repair and a mix-up over booking dates. However each of these was sorted on the day it occurred and we were there for a whole month, so most days were fine. Albina was easy to contact, and was often on the site cleaning the (unoccupied) owner’s villa downstairs. Razia was also easy to contact.
Follow the advice from Razia in the villa guide about protecting yourself from mosquitoes.

Villa Colibri
We enjoyed our stay at Villa Colibri which is on the eastern side of the island, with lovely views across land towards a bay as depicted in the photographs. The house itself appears isolated although there are neighbours in the vicinity, but they do not encroach on the property. Within the house, the photos capture the simplicity, openness and clean lines of the design; it is suitably furnished in keeping with the general look of the house and the long veranda opens up a wonderful space to relax and enjoy the view.
The fixtures and fittings in the house have not been updated for a while and are not up to a standard one would expect. The kitchen in particular needs attention; despite that, we found that things work in their own idiosyncratic way. I believe maintenance and repair has been challenging, but the agent for the house and the staff who attend it have been helpful and responsive, stepping up quickly with solutions when appliances failed. We have been pleased with the many pleasant and friendly interactions with people we met during our stay; that certainly added to our enjoyment of our holiday.
The house has overhead fans supplemented by standing fans but does not have air conditioning. For the most part that has not been an issue in December as the evening breeze was sufficiently strong to keep us comfortable.
The location of the house has certain drawbacks – it takes over an hour to go across to the western side of the island where you will find most of the resorts and restaurants. But if that is not what you were looking for on a day-to-day basis, a trip across to Soufriere or further north is perfectly enjoyable for the odd day trip. There are brochures for activities and places to visit, and the agent can provide you with contacts for excursions and other activities, including testing for your return journey.
If you are used to foreign travel to less travelled areas, are open to a holiday that requires more self-sufficiency, and you want privacy, you may enjoy this property as we did. One serendipitous find was an importer-restaurant business close to the airport, which is 30 minutes away, where the food and ambiance was delightful. There we could purchase delicacies and fresh food directly from France to supplement food from the local supermarket.
So much of enjoyment is about expectation. Our holiday was enjoyable with a bit of adventure and the quiet we sought.

Beautiful scenery, peaceful, tranquil place
My family and I just got back from Saint Lucia on April 1. We stayed in Paradise View house for 12 days. It was a wonderful vacation, especially because of a perfect place we found for our stay and nice people we met along the way!
Lorraine was great, very helpful and accommodating. She was minutes away when we needed her and could be reached by a local phone that was in the house. She made sure we had some food for when we arrive and stocked up the fridge with some local produce, which was greatly appreciated! Her house was very nice, spacious and clean. Washing machine was a big convenience.Great Wi-Fi at all times! It's located on a large yard, surrounded by tropical trees and gorgeous flowers. We loved the tranquil location of it.The house is on a hill, so, there is always a breeze, no need for air conditioner. Very picturesque view. Fox Groove rest. next door was very nice. You can use their pool if have dinner there.
The highlight of the trip were 3 tours with Melvin. It's for everyone who wants to see an untouched best of Saint Lucia. Loraine recommended him to us and we were very thankful. Melvin is such a nice guy! Very knowledgeable and friendly, in touch with nature. He knows paths into the jungle to the beautiful waterfall, where there is no one else but you and the nature. He took us fishing, and prepared it on the beach.Just wonderful! Every trip we leaned so much about the vegetation of Saint Lucia! He would show us different plants, trees, pick up fruits from the trees and we would eat them if they were ripe.
A small minus is that there are no beaches in a walking vicinity. You can see the ocean from the balcony, but to get there takes about an hour or more of walking. Locals seem to have no problems walking anywhere in the heat and up some very hilly roads. We found a great beach by Vieux Fort which is about 25 min.away by car. It's right by the highway, by the airport. There is a place with benches and trees where you can park in the shade. One side of the beach is wavy - by the parasailing rentals and the other side just around the pick point is calmer, no weeds, darker areas under the water are corals, so we snorkelled right there as well.We liked it better than the beaches on the Caribbean side.
An absolute must to have a car! But be careful driving on the left side of a road. The local drivers are not to forgiving or patient with tourists.Almost no signs on the road! Hard to get around.
Thank you all!
Katherine,Yury and Nick
We had a wonderful time in this beautiful house where we felt so at home. The highlight was the infinity salt pool- we never wanted to leave.Razia the host was lovely, very diligent the few times we needed her and Albina the house keeper kept the place in top shape.Totally recommend this peaceful oasis. You definitely need a car but thats par for the course in Saint Lucia unless you just stay in an all inclusive hotel.Overall great stay, great place, great people- we wish we stayed longer!

Beautiful, dreamy house with breathtaking views
This house was magical - straight out of a dream! Also extremely well taken care of - clean, plenty of kitchen supplies, towels, hammocks, bug spray (although it wasn't needed)... we were even able to do a load of laundry. Razia clearly cares about her guests and has created a truly sacred space for groups and couples alike. The location was perfect for soaking in some of the natural wonders St. Lucia has to offer. Thank you Razia for welcoming us into your beautiful home!

About the host
Hosted by Razia Said
I'm a singer song-writer, and environmental activist. I also hold a doctorate in Pharmacy that i use seldomly. I am originally from the east coast of Madagascar wondering the world through Africa, Europe, Asia, New York and landed in St Lucia. I love creating nests, decorating, gardening, yoga, good food, traveling and comfort which brings me to start places to rent short time in New York City, St Lucia and soon Madagascar where you can have everything a traveler wishes for; a well equipped kitchen, a good bed, a quiet place, beautiful gardens and an atmosphere full of love.
Why they chose this property
I fell in love with this house the first time i saw it; it made me feel like i was on top of a hill surrounded by the rain forest ( Mamiku Gardens is right under the property) with an amazing view of the Atlantic ocean; i was surprised how quiet it was yet close enough to the main highway that takes you around the island. The house has very generous volumes, is practical and has an outstanding garden and recently a great salt infinity pool.
What makes this property unique
This property is spacious, beautiful, practical, private and a perfect place whether for couples or for larger groups of friends who want to have their privacy and spend quality time together. There is a lot of room on the grounds of the property to enjoy the sun in one of the lounge chairs or in the shade of a Mango tree reading a book in a hammock or just lounging around the pool. We built a 2 bedrooms right under the rental where we spend some time in the winter and we love it! It is a perfect place to stop for at least a couple of days on the way to or from the international airport in Vieux Fort. We are located 20 mn by car from the airport so we can actually enjoy your last day, have lunch and set off. A good stop to end or start a trip to St Lucia. Also a great place to spend a week relaxing, bird watching, have quality time with friends and family. Very practically situated in the middle of the Island half way from Vieux Fort and Castries so you can explore both sides of the island at ease; lots to do in the area, hiking, beach, waterfalls or just laying around the pool and the beautiful grounds of the property.
