Absolutely a home run. Perfect spot for a family gathering. No problems and host was very responsive when I had questions. There is also a lot to do in the area.
The setting was perfect if you like to swim, kayak and fish. The yard was spacious, we so enjoyed the fire pit each evening. Our Cabin was partly rustic with a large kitchen and dining area perfect for our large group. The two smaller cabins were cozy and offered some privacy. There was plenty of parking, we were close to home, and the weather was perfect. Who could ask for more. Only the mosquitoes were pesky. It seems they enjoyed the fire as much as we did. We would recommend this rental to all families who enjoy the outdoors.
This property exceeded our expectations! Everyone from 2 to 92 loved this property!Great outdoor play for soccer, corn hole, badminton and ladder ball. Plus, fishing off the dock and a shallow entry into the water for our short people! We would return in a heartbeat!!!
What a view! Outside and inside-breathtaking! The cabins were so cute and comfortable. It was great to have 1/2 baths in the smaller cabins. The main cabin has cozy spots, a bright kitchen with a large dining and gathering space overlooking the lake!
The best part of this property is the beautiful view. The second best part is the kitchen and dining area -- large enough to accommodate multiple people prepping meals and seating for at least a dozen at the table! Also a great view of the lake from the main cabin! There was plenty of sleeping space too. We started the week with 4 adults and by Friday had 15 and everyone had their own bed. We liked that there were 3 cabins so different groups had their own privacy. The website says 3 bathrooms but there is actually a 4th attached to main cabin that is accessible only from the outside. The property was private but very close to the road so it could get a little noisy at times. As for the water, it was very nice. Would have preferred to be clear of weeds at "beach" area but it wasn't too bad and we all wore water shoes. The dock was very nice. The owner was accommodating and overnighted a table umbrella for the lower deck when she realized there wasn't one! Even though we brought our own tubes and floating devices, it was great to have use of 2 kayaks & 2 SUPs, as well as life jackets. The lake was pretty quiet and it was connected to another lake so we were able to float around a large area. The water was warm and shallow and you could walk out quite a bit before it got over your head. We spent the majority of time on the lower deck/waterfront area. They also had a ping pong table as well as cornhole game. I would recommend this place!
Seven adult family members stayed at this beautiful VRBO that looks out over the lake. It is possible to get to the lake by taking a long set of stairs that will lead you to a private dock. The main cabin is perfect for family meals, playing games and working from home! 5 adults had to work from home while we were there and all were able to find private spaces to work and the internet worked great. We had 3 people stay in the main house, 2 in the little house and 2 in the middle size house. The host was very attentive and answered all questions as they would arise. The kitchen is huge as well as the eating area. Nearly all rooms had ceiling fans and all bedrooms we were staying in had air conditioning (although not always needed). The grounds were very large. 2 Kayaks were available to use on the lake. On Saturday we walked to the nearby Oakholm brewery where there was a live band, food and activities. Great space inside and out, We would all highly recommend this lovely home!
