This house is truly special, it has been completely renovated with a gorgeous upstairs master suite with a queen sized bed and private bath. There are two bedrooms downstairs and a full sized bath. One of the downstairs bedrooms has a queen sized bed and the other bedroom has a twin sized bed. The kitchen has been updated to provide plenty of storage and counter space and has hardwood floors throughout. It is a comfortable beach house, with a white picket fence and lovely yard complete with gas grill and bikes! A great location for an "Old Florida" vacation.

Great location with many restaurants, stores, gathering spots and access to beach. Home is beautiful and very comfortable, we will definitely return for another get away.
The house is cute. There is an upstairs bedroom suite, nice for our older son. Most everything was provided. One block from the town and three blocks from the beach.......really nice!

Overall was fine. The couch in the living room was stained and really took away from the comfort of the place. Beds were comfortable and place was well stocked.
Best friends who take a yearly trip. Opted for Florida for surf, Sun, fishing, and relaxing. This place was great. The hosts were excellent communicators, provided clear instructions, and the house met all our needs and most importantly, the quiet weekend we were looking for. Short walk to live music, great food, and neighbors from the house. We'll be back!

House was in excellent location but furniture needs cleaning or updating. Could also use some better outdoor seating. Property is now for sale so owners may not want to do any updates.
Very conveniently located. Property was clean and neighbors were friendly Cottage could definitely use some new living room furniture, but was sufficient for our stay.
I had a couple of minor issues which David responded to propmtly.
Cute place. Very Clean inside. Landscape could use some work but the yard is on par with the neighborhood. Easy walk to lots of great spots in Gulfport. Would book again.
Our family appreciated the architectural features and layout of this older home. It made us feel like we had stepped back in time but still enjoyed all the modern conveniences of updated kitchen and bathrooms. We also loved the walkability of Gulfport. Everything was very close to this home's location. The bed in the upstairs suite is comfortable but the beds in the bedrooms downstairs need new mattresses. A paved path to at least one of the outside doors would also be an improvement.
We loved our stay and would definitely stay again. The place was very clean and in an amazing location. We walked to restaurants and shops. The best part was we got to watch the fireworks from our front yard and walk 2 blocks to see a 4th of July Golf Cart parade. FYI: the place had lots of extra stuff like beach towels, chairs, shampoo and conditioner, soap, hand soap and lots of stuff that I’m sure other guests have left. Stuff like mosquito spray, lotions, sunscreen etc. Some of the stuff really came in handy and saved us a few bucks.
1 block from the main street in gylfport was fantastic.
It's an older place but you can't beat the lication. The 3rd room was said to have a twin bed but in reality was a day bed which is hard for an adult to sleep on and was not made up as a bed.The owner was very flexible at checkout since we had a late flight which was fantastic. The full size beds were very comfortable. Very nice being near all the restaurants. The outdoor area wasn't set up to sit outside.a gazebo with no coverings unfortunately a friend was looking for an item she had lost behind the day bed and found a couple of used items that shouldn't have been there from a previous occupant.
We loved the property - perfect for what we needed! The one main “issue” we had was parking. Being familiar with Gulfport, we completely understand how busy it gets. But most evenings, if we left with our car, by the time we got back there was no parking left. People from the bars, etc took them. Not sure how that can be resolved. The only other item is that we did see a couple of roaches downstairs. Thank you for sharing your space!!!
No air conditioning after the first day. Attempts to rectify it failed. Main floor bathroom very uncomfortable. Ant infestation and spiders, we needed to buy insect spray and spray inside and out. Entries were not easily made, uneven steps, mostly without railings. The owner was aware that my husband,Ken is handicapped and did not mention these problems.
It’s taken me so long to review because I just don’t know how to say things.
Location is perfect. One block from a thriving downtown and a few blocks to the water. The owner was very fast at responding to our issues, and was a very kind gentleman. The unit is very spacious with the three bedrooms.
What we didn’t care for:
The ac unit in the upstairs bathroom was leaking onto the bed, causing water damage to the blinds along with some window sil/sheet rock issues. We had to pull the bed away from the wall. The owner said that they had just replaced the unit fairly recently.
The beds were very stiff, but that can be just a matter of preference.
There were some sort of beetle like bugs found dead behind the entrance door when we got into the unit, to which the owner stated the cleaning lady was new. The floors were dirty and you had black feet if you walked around barefoot.
The couch was filthy and stained. The owner stated they usually cleaned the covers fairly often, but didn’t have a chance to do it this time.
Back to the bugs, we found more beetles behind the door before we left, and there was an infestation of small spiders on the coffee table when we returned home one night.
It looked like there was water damage in the ceiling of the downstairs bedroom, but it was explained to us that it had been fixed and just not repainted due to lack of time between rentals during this busy season.
Place has great potential and we could’ve just had an off week, but that was our experience.
When we checked in we had no idea about the area. The locals were so friendly and showed us around and gave us great ideas on where to eat. We were in walking distance of the beach and pretty much everything. The house had everything and more! The upstairs was our favorite area. We got to have our own bathroom and the kids got the downstairs. Definitely a must for vacation. Definitely would stay again!
