About this property
2BR- Gulfport Beach House
Summary: Charming apt (front unit of duplex) with hardwood floors, AND enormous backyard with semi-private beach on Boca Ciega Bay (not the Gulf of Mexico), shared with guests of other unit when booked!! Enjoy the peace of sand and sea, shore birds and sea life, AND restaurants, shops, live music, Art Walks, farmer's market just steps away.
The Space: This 2 bedroom historic home features a king bed in one BR and a double and twin in the second BR. It is adjacent to a large public park and pier in the quaint town of Gulfport. Perfect for walking to great restaurants, fishing from the beach or off the Pier, bird watching, sunning and relaxing! Truly feels like a retreat just steps from town.
Please also check our discounted weekly and monthly rates.
Guest Access: Washer and Dryer in garage and Private Beach is available for your use. Both are shared with guests in back 1 BR and Studio.
Beach is ideal for bird watching and full of sea life - crabs of many kinds, fish, crown conch, etc. Swimming is perhaps more enjoyable for adults and older kids at the Gulfport public beach (5 minute walk) or St Pete Beach (15 minutes by car).
The water at our beach stays shallow for at least 100 feet so you may look at sea life. There is ample shade. Also great for fishing, as is the public pier next door to the house. Please wear water shoes as there are sharp shells that wash up and rocks and a bed of oysters to left as you look out to water.
The Neighborhood: Gulfport is an eclectic little town with big personality. There are many great restaurants, shops, Art Walks with vendors and live music in the evening each First Friday and Third Saturday, and Fresh Market on Tuesdays during the day.
10-12 minutes from St. Pete Beach or the now chic downtown St. Petersburg. 25 minutes from Tampa International airport.
Getting Around: Everything is walking distance - Gulfport Trolley will take you around the town if you wish and connect to main bus system.
Please see the Guidebook on upper right hand corner of listing or click Maps tab next to Photos - it has a great overview of our location and fun things to do nearby. Also, shows the grocery store Publix.
Other Things to Note: There is no direct water view from apt. - This space overlooks expansive park to West- see photos. There is another 1BR apt. in rear, available on Airbnb. For larger parties, the spaces can be rented together to sleep a total of 8 in beds.
Because the Boca Ciega Bay is vibrant with sea life, seaweed washes up on the beach. We rake and groom the beach every week but things do wash up with each tide, including, sadly, plastic bottles, etc.
There is no smoking inside or outside - our property is smoke free. No open flames such as candles or burning incense
Interaction with Guests: Please reach out in the messenger if you need anything during your stay.

We arrived and the place wasn’t as clean as I think it should have been. I had to sweep the floors. Also the kitchen wasn’t stocked with things you need for a 6 night stay. Just basics. Also we needed to ask for more towels, blankets etc. The host was very responsive so that was helpful. It’s in a great location and beautiful property however. It needs some fine tuning.
We thoroughly enjoyed our two weeks in Gulfport at this amazing home! Could not have improved upon the location and house was cozy and comfortable. Loved the comfy beds, couch and chair. The beachfront location was the best amenity and we enjoyed it everyday. We will definitely be back!!
We stayed here after the hurricane. The house was very clean and pleasant. Excellent communication with the property manager. We would not hesitate to stay here again, or recommend this place to others.
Was attending conference in downtown St. Pete. Easy short drive to site. House gave us room with our 2 dogs to spread out and there was easy access/close green space for them. It was as pictured. Owner/designee were easy to work with!!
Great location. Lots do do while visiting with friends. Comfortable beds. Private backyard tight on gulf. Short walk to shops, restaurants and beach! Quite at night. One question we had was answered right away by host.
Old school Florida Spanish style home. 3 units in the home. Pictures very accuracy as well as the online listing. This is not a Hilton/Marriott type property, but worked very well for my group of 3 adults and pre-teen. Can walk to beach/park/restaurants. Would stay here again if in the area.

Loved our stay here!
We loved staying at this property! My family rented both the 1-bedroom back apartment and this 2-bedroom front apartment for our mini Thanksgiving vacation and it was perfect for us. It is an older house with a lot of charm and fun decor. The backyard is exactly as it looks in pictures- very large, fenced all the way down to the water (which was great for bringing our dogs), and cool metal art to check out. Also, very conveniently located! We never needed our car because you can walk to everything! I would definitely stay here again.
The property itself is really great; very homey and nostalgic Florida beach styling. A lot of the interior is showing its age, so be gentle with door handles and such. The private beach is nice, just make sure you plan your swims around high tide.
Location is amazing, and Gulfport is beautiful. You are literally two blocks away from Gulfport's main street, where the night life is pretty great. You are also 30 minutes from downtown Tampa, which is just a straight shot across I275.
This is the cutest place! We were there for a fishing charter out of Gulfport Marina. We went to the beach a couple of days and an all day fish trip. This is a great location walkable to eateries. A nice shady park right next door to the property with a pier to fish from if you like. Quality restaurants are very near. I loved not having to get back in the car after a long day at the beach. The back yard down by the water is a picture postcard view. I could sit there all day and watch the dolphins go by. The house is old and full of character. The real wood floors take me back to grandmas house. Accented with the glass door knobs and splashes of vintage furnishings. It is a functional art piece flash to the past. I found it to be a good value for all that is offered! We added a extra day stay and I would stay there again.
Loved this property! There was plenty of room for me, my sister, and mother. The beds and common living seating area were comfortable. We enjoyed drinking wine, listening to music on the boom box (we purchased a few more music options and left them), as well as watching our favorite movies on the smart TV. We did not use any of the appliances (besides refrigerator) on this stay as this property was so close to all the shops, restaurants, and beach. A cute little gem in this quaint little town. We did venture into the back yard to scope out the water access and there was too much debris on the shore line to enjoy the view back there. This was fine with us though since the main beach access was within walking distance. I was so surprised how quiet it was even though it sits almost directly across from O’Malleys but we didn’t hear a peep coming from there. Would definitely stay here again.

Very Overated
Beds were horrible, I was unable to enjoy any time during our visit to Florida, due to the beds being extremely uncomfortable had to visit a chiropractor to walk the following day. Myself and family was effected. Short dark hairs in the tub that was not ours, we didn’t shower there because of the private area body hair left in tub. Noticeable mold on the ceilings. Left after 1 night. I camp and have stayed in tents nicer. Beach area was covered in mounds of seaweed, smelled because of it, chairs were broken, unable to enjoy the outdoor space. Not for families. Owner was responsive when asked if we could check in a little early however did not seem compassionate regarding the bed and our issues rather pointed to the typical reviews that are received.

Family Vacation for 2023
I'll start by saying I appreciate the fact when we made our trip in a day, arriving at 1030p, the day before we were suppose to check in so the owner allowed us to check in for a fee. However, upon arriving it was 84 degrees inside and the internet was not working. No air conditioner and lack of internet to get the kids mellowed out at night or for morning so I could get things going. Every day I was being asked questions, and told to leave the key they need to get in today. I am on vacation, I don't want bothered to handle the responsibilities that should have been handled prior to our arrival. The tipping point was someone there coming past the first entrance door, into the unit and then interrupting us in the living room, not knocking, and saying "when are you leaving, I need to get into the attic." I had been polite all week but that set me over. Needless to say that was our last day there and we were leaving in the morning back to Ohio. These things should have been checked prior to anyone's arrival for the cost paid. The actual apartment needed love. Beds in the second bedroom were on bricks and cinderblocks. Frames were broken. We are a family of 5 and my oldest slept on the couch. There is no trundle bed, its just a twin. Visible dust strands on walls by the beds. My youngest needed to nebulize daily. We found trash under the bed left by previous guest. For a fee for housekeeping I don't think the ones cleaning are cleaning. We swept floors prior to departure
The property and location are perfect for a relaxing week. Easy walking distance to good restaurants and shops. The pier is literally in the backyard. Lisa was great to work with for reservations and Mike was very helpful with questions about the house itself. It's an older well cared for house that has a couple of units on the back. Has everything you need for a great stay. Loved it! 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
Perfect location to experience all that Gulfport has to offer, neighborhood bars and restaurants were accommodating and friendly, food was delicious, atmosphere and culture of the area and residents reminded us of Key West, eclectic mix of of weird and wonderful, highly recommended to other travelers.
What a gem in the heart of historic Gulfport. You can walk to restaurants, shops and the market on Tuesday morning. Not to mention having your private beach. The home was well stocked and very comfortable. The owner is also very nice!
The apartment was comfortable in an old Florida house with character. Very clean with all amenities needed. Cute beach in back with the far away sounds of the action in town. Surrounding areas are quaint during the day, and fun, food and music at night. The pier next door is a great way to take walks through out the day. Everything in walking distance including shops and beach.
