About this property
Charming 3-bedroom house with WiFi, AC in delightful Pentwater
Located in the quaint lakeside town of Pentwater, our property is the perfect vacation spot any time of year. Tucked a few blocks off the main road, you'll have peace and quiet away from the crowds, but are just a short walk, bike ride, or drive to downtown Pentwater shops/resturants and the beautiful Lake Michigan shoreline/beach. We've recently refreshed the kitchen, bathrooms, and bedrooms. We also have a huge backyard, with all the amenities needed for a comfortable and relaxing stay.
Main floor includes a spacious kitchen with all the amenties plus an island with seating for two; dining room seats four with open access to the kitchen, enclosed front sunroom, bright bathroom with separate tub and shower, primary bedroom with queen bed and direct bathroom access; and living area with t.v. and pull out sofa. Upstairs has another full bathroom with shower, a bunk bed (two twins) and one single bed, and a separate room with a queen bed and t.v. Free laundry (washer/dryer) located in the basement. The backyard has plenty of space (sun and shade), saucer swing, fire pit with adirondack chairs, charcoal grill, and table/chairs that seat 4 with umbrella.
Guests are able to access the entrance breezeway, basement, main floor, second floor, and yard. Garage is not accessible.
We are available to answer questions via text/phone/message during your stay and can arrange for someone local to assist you if necessary.

About the host
Hosted by Nicki Sandberg

I work in finance for a local non-profit that is building a better food system. My husband is a carpenter. We have two energetic and curious sons. We are both returned Peace Corps Volunteers and enjoy travel, authentic cultural experiences, and preparing good food. We love restoring old homes and take pride in giving historic spaces new life. Our life motto is "Live a life you'd relive." We aim to get to all 7 continents in our lifetimes. We are eager to welcome you to our space!
Why they chose this property
Pentwater has been a special place for our family for generations. The beach and lakefront (Pentwater Lake and Lake Michigan) are stunning year-round and perfect for visitors of any age. Summertime is busy, but compared to other cities along the lake, Pentwater has a small and homey feel (and multiple ice cream shops!). There's plenty to do in the area - let us know if you need recommendations. We love our location in particular because it's easily accessible to all the town has to offer, without the traffic of the busy main road. We hope you'll enjoy the serenity and beauty that is Pentwater!
What makes this property unique
Our historic house has been carefully and lovingly restored and refinished in the last year, providing charm and character with all the modern amenities you need. From the cozy living room and the sunny front porch, to the beautiful custom bedroom designs, we've been thoughtful about our updates to make the most of the space and have it truly feel like home away from home. We especially love the custom butcher block kitchen counter (an old bowling lane!), the adorable nautical-themed kids bunk room, and the huge shady yard where you can enjoy a smore (or two) on a crisp summer night!
