Booked this property so my son and I could attend the Duluth Airshow and enjoy a relaxing weekend in July. Neighbors were a little noisy with 4th of July party, but not out-of-control. Overall a very nice experience.
If I could give this place less than 1* I would. It was rated a 10. I gave the hosts a opportunity to make it right before I posted this review, and she couldn't have cared less. Filthy, rodent excrement in kitchen area including coffee maker and pod storage. NOT safe for pets. My 30LB. golden doodle was playing and got her paw stuck in the vent system which was filthy in installed improperly. It took 30 seconds to get her unstuck, paw bleeding and we wouldn't have been there, her leg would have broken. Windows, floors, microwave. cabinets inside and out grimy. The dishes and silverware had to be hand washed as the dishwasher was not in working order. Refrigerator had standing water in bottom drawers and 1/2" on freezer floor. Dirty as well. The "dock was not installed properly and, in such disrepair, it was unnerving to walk on it.So no fishing, swimming or fireworks were enjoyed. I cannot stress enough, do not waste your time or money on this dump. I could have dealt with rustic, but filthy is not acceptable. See pictures posted that were taken on day one. Avoid at all costs. A very sad reunion for our 90-year-old dad's 90th birthday on Lake Superior. I could go on and on but want to put this one to bed.
Property was lovely, very clean and very comfortable beds. A friendly cat came to visit while we were having a fire. Very quiet, if your looking to get away from busy metro, this is your place. We never even saw the neighbors.
The thick tree stand surrounding the
property makes it fairly secluded from the neighbors. A beautiful setting with the living room and master bedroom overlooking the lake.
The beds were super comfortable and the living room furniture sat nice.
We really enjoyed kayaking and appreciated the various sized life jackets that were available for our use.
It has a gas stove, microwave, and gas grill. The kitchen was well stocked with dishes, bowls, and pans.
Basic bath, hand, and dish towels were provided. They provided adequate hand, dish, and laundry soaps. We appreciated the use of the dishwasher and the washer and dryer.
We enjoyed chosing from the variety of family games available. A free wi-fi password is provided.
The manager was promt in answering our questions, communicated effectively, and assistited us in a timely manner. The check in was easy.
The manager and assisted us well.
