South Fork River Cabin just below Watson Mill Bridge State Park. Take it easy at this unique and tranquil getaway on our farm. This Aframe along the river is perfect for a couple's getaway. King size bed in the loft. In the pasture behind the cabin, our friendly goats love attention and are always happy to greet guests.
Bring your beach towels. Chairs available to sit on sanbars and rocks in the river.
We have been in a drought this summer so the river is very low at the moment.

Just a quick heads-up
We’re currently having some work done on our farm pond at the top of the river cabin driveway, so you may notice a little more noise than usual and hear some equipment running during the day. September-October.
They will not be working past 5 PM or on weekends, so it should be quiet during your evenings and throughout the weekend.
I’ve provided a radio/Bluetooth speaker for you to use during your stay if you’d like. 🎶
And if you’re curious, feel free to stop along the driveway and watch the progress!

🐐 Goats 🐐
You're welcome to go inside the pasture and visit the goats!
🔔 Ring the bell several times to get their attention—they'll usually come running!
🔒 Please close and latch the gate securely behind you. If you forget, you may end up chasing goats around the farm! A Blink camera monitors the gate area.
🥕 Treats are welcome!
Please feed treats through the gate or fence only.
Do not take treats inside the pasture. It makes for more peaceful visits when they are not competing for treats.
They love cut-up fruits and vegetables.
Please do not feed peach pits, as they can be a choking hazard.
🐐 Our herd is a mix of Briar Goats and Nigerian Dwarf Goats. They love having their ears scratched.
🚫 No children under 12 or Dogs are allowed inside the pasture.
🌙 From dusk until dawn, the goats are usually tucked away in the barn at the top of the hill.

We have been in a drought this year so currently its too low to kayak . Broad river outpost is 20 minutes away on a different section of the river and still allowing people to float.

If you are looking for a calm relaxing float the South Fork Broad river is for you.
This section of the river provides the ideal setting for a private relaxing excursion, a swim or some fishing.
The South Fork is rain fed and one of Georgia's last free flowing rivers .
The river changes throughout the year meaning each time you float will be a little different than the time before.

please be aware of the following hazards:
- Unfenced yard with direct access to steep river banks, and acres of dense woods .
- An open loft with a wire railing.
- Porch with wire railing .
- A narrow steep staircase that does not have a baby gate.
-Furniture that is not mounted to the wall and may tip over (Tv).


☀️Please know that we are located in the country by a lake. We use a pest control service in and around the home , but you are still likely to see a few insects or other living beings from Mother Nature. We ask that you do your best to keep outside doors closed when not actively walking through to help prevent any bugs from getting inside.

☀️ The stairs to the loft are kind of a hybrid between traditional steps and a ladder; very comfortable, but you just need to be mindful of where you are putting your feet .


☀️The cabin has a tin roof, so during heavy rain or thunderstorms you’ll hear the relaxing sound of rain overhead. Most guests love the cozy ambiance, but light sleepers may want to bring earplugs during stormy weather.
