A second-floor studio in downtown Yuma, a few minutes from the Colorado River and the riverfront path. There are two bikes for guests, so the river walk and the Yuma Crossing heritage area are an easy ride rather than a drive.
This one is built for long stays. Most people who book it take a month or a season - snowbirds, contractors, travel nurses, and people in town on orders or per diem. Stays of 28 nights or longer are discounted, and if you are looking at a month or more, message me and I will work something out.
One open room with its own bathroom, sleeping up to four: a king bed, plus a sofa bed for two more. A mini-split keeps it cold through a Yuma summer, and blackout curtains are installed.
The kitchenette has a bar sink, a fridge, a microwave and a hotplate, with dishes, glassware and coffee. There is no range, no oven and no dishwasher. It is a kitchenette rather than a kitchen, and I would rather you know that before you book than after.
Finding it the first time: the entrance is not accessible from Main Street. There is an alleyway between the rear of the building and the large City of Yuma parking lot, and both the alleyway and the lot are reachable from Harold C Giss Parkway, Madison Avenue or 3rd Street. Entry is by keypad code, up a single flight of stairs to the second floor. There is no elevator.
One reserved off-street parking space is included, signed for this unit and separate from the public city lot. The deck outside is shared with the neighboring unit, with outdoor furniture around a firepit. Laundry is downstairs in the building, Monday to Friday 9 to 5, and stays of 28 nights or longer include laundry service once a week.
The hummingbird-and-cactus mural and the hot-air-balloon mural are painted on this building, facing the deck. Restaurants, breweries, coffee shops and the cinema are walkable on Main Street. Los Algodones is about a 25-minute drive if you are here for dental or pharmacy, MCAS Yuma and Yuma Proving Ground are both an easy commute, and the Amtrak station is nearby.
I am a US Army veteran and spent sixteen years in Border Patrol, so if you are here on orders, per diem or a contract, I am easy to deal with. I run a second studio in this building as well, so if you need two units for the same dates, ask.
