About this property

Yosemite Studio - Farmhouse Base for Explorers - Shared Hot Tub - Near SLC

If your ideal trip is measured in trailheads, overlooks, and national parks, the Yosemite studio was made with you in mind. It's a daylight walk-out basement unit on our three-studio farmhouse property in Riverton, Utah — a comfortable explorer's base just 25 minutes from Salt Lake City, with the Wasatch and Utah's legendary parks beyond.

The space: Through your private entrance, the Yosemite is a light-filled studio for two with a comfortable living area, couch, and smart TV. The fully equipped kitchen has everything you need plus a Keurig coffee maker for pre-dawn starts, and your private bathroom is exclusively yours. There's a dedicated workspace and fast Wi-Fi for checking in with the world before you head back out, and plenty of comfort for resting up between adventures.

The farmhouse experience: Out back is the property's gathering place — a year-round hot tub, an outdoor patio with relaxed seating and a dining area, and a BBQ grill available to guests upon request. We mention it proudly and upfront: these areas are shared with the other two studios. For the kind of travelers this studio attracts, that's a feature — a friendly, farmhouse-community backyard where explorers swap national-park itineraries and nature lovers simply soak in the quiet together.

Good to know — please read before you book: The hot tub, patio, and backyard are communal spaces shared among all three studios, not private to your unit. Your studio's interior is fully private and yours alone. The Yosemite is a lower-level unit accessed by a short staircase shared with one neighboring studio — entry access only; your door, bathroom, kitchen, and living space are completely private. Your entrance does not pass through the backyard, so you can come and go without entering the shared outdoor space if you'd rather. Our friendly golden doodle may be in the shared outdoor areas, and other guests' dogs are occasionally there too — reach out if that's a consideration before booking.

Location: Riverton is a calm suburb in the Salt Lake City valley and an excellent launchpad for adventure. You're a short drive from the Wasatch canyons' hiking and skiing, about 25–30 minutes from downtown Salt Lake City and the airport, and within road-trip distance of Utah's national parks. Groceries, restaurants, and coffee are minutes away, free parking is on-site, and there's an EV charger on the property.

A note from your hosts: We named this place Yosemite because the outdoors is where we feel most at home — and we have a feeling you'll understand. Ask us anything, from park routes to drive times to the best early breakfast, and we'll help you plan. Adventure on; we can't wait to host you.

About the host

Hosted by Rob Bagley

Host profile image
My wife and I work in Higher Education.

I grew up in Arizona, and my wife is from Oregon. Our favorite thing about hosting is meeting friendly people from all over the world.

We enjoy meeting our guests and live on the same property, so we'd love to meet you, but we are also okay if you like to keep to yourself.

Why they chose this property

We live in a quiet, safe neighborhood at the end of a cul-de-sac. Our home is next to a large farm field and has excellent views of the mountains.

There are some excellent walking trails accessible from our neighborhood, and we are about a mile away from Daybreak Lake.

We are about 20 miles from the ski resorts if you are in town for skiing.

A wide variety of great restaurants, movie theaters, ski resorts and sports arenas are a short drive away.

What makes this property unique

We built, designed, and furnished our studio apartments how we would want them if we lived in them. They have full kitchens, comfortable mattresses, high-speed internet, and high-definition TVs. There is a beautiful backyard and a shared hot tub. The most common thing our guest mention in their reviews is how relaxing their stay was.
