Your Island Home Away From Home!
Located in the Kawama Yacht Club, our condo is equipped with central air conditioning, dishwasher, washer/dryer, new TVs, high-speed WiFi access, and it's well-stocked with linens and kitchen supplies. There are two bikes and fishing supplies.
We're located on a saltwater lagoon with two beaches and rafts, and the complex is great for families and children of all ages. It also has 2 swimming pools, a children's playground, and tennis courts. The condo also has access to a jetty for fishing, relaxing, and enjoying sunrises and sunsets with family, friends, and neighbors.
There is a boat ramp and permission to park one boat in designated areas. You must provide proof of liability insurance of at least $300,000 to bring a boat onto Kawama property.

We are complying with Monroe County’s, Florida’s and the CDC’s recommendations for rental cleaning procedures, including:
We thoroughly disinfect all common area surfaces with a CDC-approved disinfectant.
All linens and towels available for use are being washed between rentals, even if not used. Bleach is used when applicable.
Our cleaning crew adheres to CDC safety guidance to prevent the transmission of the virus and provide further protection for our employees and guests.
Where applicable, the cleaning crew adheres to the AHLA "Enhanced Industry-wide Hotel Cleaning Standards" in response to COVID-19. All Department of Business and Professional Regulation (DBPR) sanitation guidelines are being followed as dictated in 61C-3.001 Sanitation and Safety Requirements of the transient lodging statutes.
We are currently offering a very lenient cancellation policy and request that anyone feeling ill stay home and avoid travel.

We are mostly New England natives now living all over. We are Red Sox fans, occasional (OK, often) party animals, nature lovers, educators, and experienced divers. We love Key Largo and are confident you will, too!
Why they chose this property
Most of us have been visiting Key Largo too long to admit, dating back to when Nana first moved to the Rock Harbor club (just down the road) in the 1970s. We've been vacationing down here ever since, and it holds a dear spot for multiple generations in our families. We have fond memories here... of being young, of key lime pie and rum runners, dive trips, and stone crab. We've even had a couple family weddings here!
In 2014, we suddenly lost a father, husband, and friend. When the opportunity suddenly arose in 2015 to finally have our own place in Key Largo (something he and his wife had long wanted), it seemed too wonderful to pass up. While celebrating a milestone birthday together in Key Largo in the summer of 2015, we drank enough to finally do it! ...or so the story goes. What makes this property unique
Kawama's -- well, Key Largo's -- unique location truly provides something for everyone! The modern, spacious, air-conditioned unit is safe and accommodating for tiny guests on their first trip to the Keys and older guests needing a relaxing getaway. Children can splash around in the pools or lagoon, play on the playground, or go exploring to meet some native iguanas! Active guests can can go for morning walks or runs around the lagoon or on the water; do yoga in the bay; and/or participate in a wide variety of water sports at any of the local vendors along Overseas Highway, or Rte. 1, (we even suggest a few here!) or in Pennekamp State Park. Those seeking a more peaceful getaway can sip refreshing beverages and play board games on the porch or watch TV. Love seafood? Key Largo will rock your world. Are you a serious diver? Contact us to see some pictures from our many dive trips! Read a lot of Hemingway? Take a day trip down to Key West for a glimpse at a source of his inspiration. Never been to Cuba? Swing by Denny's for a Cuban coffee and ceviche, and start daydreaming...
