We had an amazing time! The treehouse is beautiful & the craftsmanship & time Nick took into creating this dream is outstanding. He was such a great host, teaching us how to use the pizza oven, enjoying the tea hut, pottery & grounds. Close to all the falls & amazing views. Will definitely visit again.
For folks who relish funky, unique experiences that are off the beaten path, this is for you! The entire experience had the feel of being hosted by a fairy village! We loved it. The river was serene, the beds were comfy. Nick is just minutes away if you need anything. The atmosphere nourished our spirits. My son woke up saying, "This is so nice." We wanted to stay longer.
The treehouse was obviously crafted with a lot of thought and care. I had a lovely, relaxing stay with beautiful scenery and a hot tub to relax in every night. Nick made sure I had everything I needed, and was very communicative when I had questions. Downtown was a five minute drive, and twenty minutes to all the hiking spots I wanted to hit. Perfect getaway.
My 10 year old son and I stayed here on a weekend boys trip. Nick is a great guy and the place is a solid choice. Be mindful it is small and you will not have a lot of room, but if you’re like us and on the move we just needed a place to come to and sleep and chill a little. There is no real place to fish on property, but it’s just a short trip to get to one. All in all I would recommend.

About the host
Your host
I’ve been a resident of Transylvania County since 1998 when my wife (girlfriend at the time) moved up from Gainesville, Florida to open up our current studio, The Duckpond Pottery. In the last 25 years we’ve raised a family and continued to put our energy into pottery making, natural building projects, and hosting our summer music series, “Duckpond at Dusk.”
Why they chose this property
We came to Brevard initially to visit my parents who retired here in the early 1990’s but then fell in love with the natural beauty of the area and decided it was the ideal place for us to raise a family and build a pottery business.
