Beech Mountain Ski Resort, less than 10 miles away, provides year-round outdoor adventures, including skiing, snowboarding, and ice skating in winter. During the summer months, the ski runs transform into mountain biking and hiking trails, as well as disc golf courses. Don't miss the scenic chairlift ride to the mountain's summit, where you can savor breathtaking views with a drink in hand. Sugar Mountain Ski Resort is also nearby, approximately 17 miles away.
Nestled in a pristine woodland, this charming mountain retreat offers an idyllic escape into nature's embrace. The cabin features a delightful blend of rustic elegance and modern comfort, set among towering trees that invite you to leave the hustle and bustle of everyday life behind. A winding path leads from the cabin's doorstep to Buckeye Creek, where the water flows over smooth, moss-covered stones, creating a soothing, quiet background. This serene waterway is perfect for quiet reflection or playful splashes, adding a magical touch to the captivating landscape. Guests of all ages can enjoy climbing over rocks and exploring the creek and nearby wooded paths.
The cabin's interior is a cozy haven, featuring tongue-and-groove ceilings and hardwood floors. The family room features vaulted ceilings and a stacked-stone gas fireplace, providing a warm glow that fills the open-concept living area. Here, you can relax on plush furniture and enjoy the sounds of nature throughout the seasons. The spacious kitchen includes stainless steel appliances, a farmhouse sink, and a large island with bar seating. The dining table comfortably accommodates eight guests. Step outside onto the expansive deck, where you can enjoy your morning coffee while listening to the creek. Whether sipping coffee at sunrise or stargazing at night, the deck offers a perfect vantage point to soak in the tranquility and beauty of this mountain paradise. A gas grill is available on the covered porch, ideal for preparing fresh vegetables and burgers for dinner.
Adventure awaits in the lower-level game room, which features comfortable furniture around a large TV and a wood-burning fireplace. Guests can enjoy friendly matches on the shuffleboard table or test their skills at the dartboard and axe-throwing game. Gather around the game table for cards or a home-cooked meal. A covered hot tub on the back deck ensures comfortable relaxation, regardless of the weather. Upstairs in the loft, guests will find a sitting area with an HDTV, exposed beams, and windows showcasing views of the lush surroundings.
Hideaway Cabin at Buckeye Creek accommodates up to 15 guests across five sleeping areas. The master bedroom on the main floor includes a king bed, TV, and a private ensuite bathroom with a step-in shower and double vanities. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this mountain house. We were impressed by everything it offered. The family enjoyed the walking trails, the hot tub, shuffleboard, family meals and time around the fire. The house was equipped with all the necessities. There was plenty of space for everyone. We would love to stay here again!
