We were delighted with our room at Chateau Herbe!! The castle and grounds were gorgeous and welcoming. Our room was beautifully outfitted, clean, elegant and comfortable. Lots of attention to detail, Shakespearean inspired art and books and a wonderfully comfortable bed. The window seat overlooking the grounds was a sweet spot to sit, sip, talk and enjoy the scenery. One suggestion I might make is to have a longer one-piece cushion for the window seat. The three pillows wanted to slide around making seating a bit precarious. We would definitely come again and appreciate all the nice touches. Our host, Esther, was easy to reach and communicated nicely. Thank you!

Quiet was the #1 attraction. It was nice to stroll around or sit outside and relax. The check-in with codes made it easy, and the coffee station near the front door was fully stocked and convenient.

The area is beautiful, secure, and quiet. Everything is nicely kept with the basic amenities that meet the same needs as most hotels. It is easily located between Medford and a very short back road to Ashland. I would stay here over any hotel for the price, security and ambiance. Very lovely!

We really enjoyed our stay at the chateau. I would definitely recommend it for your next trip to Ashland. The property and grounds were beautiful. It was so peaceful and relaxing despite being only an easy 5 minute Uber/Lyft from town. It felt very safe at all hours and we had no issues with check in or out.

Great place to relax.

I knew it was a mockup of a French Chateau, but wasn’t expecting the Greek statues displayed around the property or the warm colored room with renaissance paintings and armor. We would definitely stay there again.

Esther, the welcoming and helpful host is amazing. The Florence room was superb and the castle grounds and surroundings are beautiful. I plan to return in the Fall. Again, Esther is amazing and returns all messages and/or calls in a timely fashion. I highly recommend visiting this wonderful castle only a ten minute walk to Ashland and the Bear Creek bike trail.
