The "Kapahulu Groin," also commonly called the "Waikiki Wall," is a concrete pier extending into the ocean at the end of Kapahulu Avenue in Waikiki, Hawaii.
It's a popular spot for sunset views, photography, and walking along the pier, with the wall creating a protected area of shallow water on one side, often considered good for children.
The Waikiki Wall is just 50 yards from the lobby of the Waikiki Grand Hotel®

The host never contacted us. We did not need to contact the host. The hotel staff were wonderful. The view was incredible. The room was very good. The parking was tricky, but we managed it well. We enjoyed our stay and our return to Hawaii. It is our favorite part of Honolulu.
We really enjoyed our trip! The location couldn’t be better. Especially if you don’t mind people watching or overlooking the zoo. It was really fun to wake up every morning and watch the waves or see the flamingos. I highly recommend bringing binoculars. The room is great for two people, the only struggle we had was one of the employees that works at the front desk. Anytime we needed anything like checking in or parking he was incredibly slow to the point where there would be a line of six people, and it got to be a little bit much at times for not only us but other others. That shouldn’t be something to deter you from coming, but just a heads up as when you get off a flight and it’s super late and you are waiting for 30 minutes to get checked in it gets to be a little bit excessive.
