About this property

Grand Venetian Beachfront, 2 Balconies, Private Jacuzzi Luxury

My first visit to Puerto Vallarta was in the early 90's, in the middle of August at a timeshare resort in the hotel zone. I fell in love with PV right away. I even like the heat and humidity that goes along with summer. It was ten years before I had the luxury of experiencing Puerto Vallarta in high that really sealed the deal. A couple of years ago, I saw the Grand Venetian complex being built right in between the two timeshare resorts where I typically would stay. The hotel zone is my favorite location because that is where one can get the very best views of the town, the lights along the Malecon, as well as the mountains behind and the vast and beautiful Bay of Banderas. We had been thinking about buying our own condo for quite a few years and we were thrilled when we were finally able to do so. We are from the East coast of the United boomers who are on the cusp of retirement. We are fulfilling our dream by having a beautiful condo on the beach in Puerto Vallarta

Why the Owner Chose Hotel Zone

Each year when we would try to decide on our vacation destination, the decision usually was Puerto Vallarta because it is such an easy place to vacation. It is small enough to learn the streets in a short amount of time, but large enough to have lots of variety. A bus to Centro takes less than 15 minutes from the hotel zone. We tried timeshares in various locations from the South end of PV, to the hotel zone and up into Nuevo Vallarta. We typically would return to the hotel zone because of its convenient location to groceries, shopping, cinemas, banks and transportation. We can walk to the boat excursions and even walk to Centro or the romantic zone in about 40 minutes. When we saw the Grand Venetian complex being built in the heart of the hotel zone, we made the decision to purchase there. Grand Venetian has location, location, to mention many amenities. The infinity pools are beautiful; most condos have private jacuzzis on the terrace; the rooms are spacious and very functional. But what really sold us was the incredible view of the town of PV from our condo. It is breathtaking 24 hours a day.....During the day, we enjoy looking at the town with the magnificent Sierra Madre mountain backdrop. We watch the boats cross the bay; the dolphins and even whales; birds sailing and diving for fish; parasailers and jet skiers enjoying an adventurous as the sun goes down and the lights of town go night view is nothing short of spectacular.

The Unique Benefits of this Condo

The Grand Venetian resort has spacious, manicured grounds and is located right on the beach. There is no crowds from the Malecon or people from Centro. There are multiple pools, all with views of the town, beach, mountains and the bay. All terraces have outstanding views and most terraces have private jacuzzis. We watch all of the bay life and at night we watch the fireworks from the Marigalante as well as other spots around the bay. The Grand Venetian has a spacious lobby; poolside lounges, tables, chairs and lounging beds. There is 24 hour security; underground parking; a movie room and game room and business center in each of the 3 towers. The gym is well stocked with the best of fitness equipment. We enjoy the privacy and exclusion of an upscale, high end property, but we are close to shopping, transportation and many entertainment venues. One can walk from the Grand Venetian all the way to Centro on the beach or along the main road. We are walking distance to no less than 5 supermarkets (including Sam's, Walmart and Costco). We can walk to two different cinemas and large shopping complexes. The boat marina for the large cruise ships and day cruises are also within walking distance.

Grand Venetian has the excellent balance of luxury and convenience.

Keywords: Puerto Vallarta is strategically located at the foot of the Sierra Nevada mountains, on the Pacific ocean's beautiful Bay of Banderas. The landscape combines a mix of mountains, jungle, beach and one of the largest bays in the world, and many spectacular species of wildlife. For a beach resort, Puerto Vallarta is even more special because it has retained the local architecture and culture. There are so many sights from which to choose, whether it be the malecon, or promenade, lined with bronze art, sand art, art galleries, churches, restaurants and shops. The people are very friendly and helpful and the environment is very, very safe. The climate is outstanding. You can expect sunshine every day and only short interruptions of tropical rain showers during the months of July through October. The sunsets are absolutely incredible, setting the stage for an intimate dinner, followed by some outstanding nightlife choices.

The Grand Venetian resort is strategically situated in the hotel z

Beach front charmer!

I've visited Vallarta for just about 20 years, and have never had the opportunity to stay in the hotel zone area. The location of this condo was perfect! There's easy access to the unit just one floor up the elevator, and the view from the large balcony is amazing! We enjoyed every evening watching the glorious sunsets, after spending the day down in the large pool area, and also on the beach at the private palapas. There is a new shopping center, La Isla, adjacent to the property, which features plenty of food and shopping choices. A full grocery store, Soriana @ Plaza Caracol, is just a short walk away so that you can stock the fridge and cupboard should you desire. For those who want to venture into town, Uber is now well established, and short rides into Old Town/Zona Romantica are just a few dollars. The location is very secure, as is Puerto Vallarta in general, and you never have to worry about your safety. MaryAnn was readily available, and when we thought we had a problem with our TV (we didn't actually) she came the very next morning to resolve:) The unit is quiet, with sliding doors at both balconies, and when opened, provided a fantastic cross breeze through the unit. We never even used the AC! The unit is large with plenty of space, and did I mention the views? Overall, we had a great time and enjoyed our stay at Grand Venetian. Thank you MaryAnn for your hospitality! We enjoyed our stay.

Magical Vacation.

The Grand Venetian is an ideal property. Maryanne and Don were very accommodating. The condo is perfect. English tv channels and barbecue a bonus for us. We are starting to plan our next trip back and hoping to stay with Maryanne and Don again.

Beautiful beachfront apartment

This apartment is so spacious and lovely, decorated with amazing artwork. The large deck overlooking the pools and beach is a great place to have morning coffee and watch the area wake up every morning. The onsite restaurant offers great food and service for those days we didn't feel like going anywhere. The location is ideal - near bus stops, a mall, restaurants, grocery stores. The staff is amazing - so helpful and courteous. Mary Ann and Donald were very accommodating and kind. They made sure everything was perfect for us and were available to answer all of our questions. Thank you both for sharing this beautiful place.

Excellent vacation rental!

Have stayed here before and each time is better than before. Full kitchen is great when we decide not to eat in any of the great restraunts Puerto Vallarta has to offer. Nice to sit in the hot tub on the balcony before sunset with a glass of wine and enjoy the fantastic view. Have seen a lot of marine life from there. One advantage suite 303 is that there are a lot of English speaking t v channels while some of the other places we have stayed at in previous years in Puerto Vallarta Were almost all Spanish stations. Important I feel if your in town for a fairly long time. Mary Ann is a great host and gave us great information on places to see in the area, restraunts we could walk to or get to by the inexpensive bus service . Costco and Walmart are just a short distance from the condo, super market is a short ten minute walk. We hope to get back soon for another great vacation! Loved the large pools and the beach. We also feel very safe here and the local people to be friendly and helpful.

Awesome condo

Thank you Mary Ann for the use of your awesome condo. We loved the view from our room. Loved the hot tub. This condo is close to downtown so no need for a cab you can walk to down town which is about 45 min or catch the public bus for 75 pesos. There are so many restaurants in PV. The pool restaurant is extremely good and reasonably priced compared to other non inclusive resorts. We would also like thank Mary Anne and her husband for their hospitality on our last day. Great Pools, especially for kids!!

We stayed at this condo for a week during Holy Week and couldn't have enjoyed it more. The main attraction here is the pools. If you have children, this is definitely the place to stay as the pools are heated to different temps to suit any preference and even though they were not zero depth entry, each pool had large platform or cut-out areas (20 x 20 feet at least) where kids could walk and play in the shallower water (varying from a few inches deep to maybe 2 feet deep) without always being held by a parent. This was an amazing bonus for my 4 and 6 year old who want to be more independent in the pool. The condo pictures were accurate and everything was very nice. The bed was really comfortable, the futon was more comfortable than a pull-out couch, and the kitchen had everything you needed. The hot tub on the balcony was clean, filled quickly and had a nice view. The balcony is deeper than other units in the complex so we definitely did not feel cramped out there and ate almost all of our meals out there enjoying the incredible view. Mary Ann was great to deal with and was available at a moment's notice. Security deposit returned promptly. There are lots of friendly condo staff constantly monitoring the pool areas and parking garage so nobody is sneaking in to use the pools, etc. There is someone working the front gate 24 hours a day, too. Felt extremely safe. This property is not a spring break party place if that is what you are looking for. We were not which made this place perfect. The beach here was calm in the mornings (we did some stand up paddleboarding on two mornings) and you can see dolphins swimming about. It did get deep rather quickly, though. We took a day trip to the south side of PV and caught a boat out of Boca de Tomatlon (park in town for 50 pesos, round trip boat ride to the beach for 200 pesos) to a tamer, absolutely gorgeous beach (Colomitos Beach) for some snorkeling. Paid an extra 350 pesos to have the guy take us over to Los Arcos before going back to our car. Considering what you pay per person for tours out to those spots, using a local is definitely worth it. If you're cooking on your own, there is a Costco and a WalMart within a 3 minute drive. The grill on the balcony was new as well and easy to use. The best place to eat in the area is called Sonora's (look it up on Yelp) and is on the right side of the road on the way to Costco. It is a butcher shop by day and the food is outstanding.

Great vacation, great owner (Mary Ann), beautiful condo, loved Taco and Belle the dogs

Truly words cannot describe the beauty of the Grand Venetian and property. The suite has everything and more than we expected when we rented several months in advance. Mary Ann was a delight to work with and very helpful with anything we asked. We enjoyed the pools and hot tubs daily, one pool was cool , one warm and the other pool was very warm. It was great to watch the whales in the bay from the pool or from our balcony. Being on the third floor was a big advantage as you could see the marine life jumping very easy. Also we found the room to be very quiet, at night we would leave both patio doors open to get a nice breeze. We never once found the need to run the air conditioning in the 2 1/2 weeks we stayed. As other reviewers commented the ease of getting around Puerto Vallarta is very accurate, either by bus or cab, both very inexpensive. We found many excellent places to eat within walking distance or downtown by bus (13 pesos for two) . We found almost everyone we talked to were very friendly and helpful. I was surprised to find the city to be very beautiful and full of Mexican charm. Even had the pleasure of walking Mary Ann's dogs for her. We will be returning next year but for a much longer stay! I would recommend without hesitation Mary Ann's suite to any one.

What a great vacation!

What a fantastic vacation! We were originally going to Destin Florida, but Tropical storm/hurricane Isaac changed our plans. After deciding on Puerto Vallarta (on three days’ notice), we were so pleased with our decision to stay at this fabulous condo at the Grand Venetian! Mary Ann made it so easy and simple to make the arrangements on short notice, and we loved the third floor location with the beautiful view of the beach, pool, and mountains. We could not have been more pleasantly surprised at the beauty of the grounds and the fabulous infinity pools, which we had mostly to ourselves. We really enjoyed being there at the off season and having the peace and quiet. We were there during the “rainy season” which only amounted to evening showers sometimes, which never kept us from doing anything. This is a very spacious and well-furnished condo, in an ideally central location. We easily walked to the grocery store, and cabs and busses were always available at the entrance. There were so many great things to do, and the diverse restaraunts were awesome! We highly recommend this condo, and especially dealing with Mary Ann as a renter! She was so great at emailing information and travel tips about the area, as this was our first time in Mexico. Loved it!

What makes this property unique

The location at Grand Venetian is as good as it gets! We can walk to supermarkets, malls, movie the little hidden casinos once you know where they are located. We love the view from Tower overlooks the bay towards the 24/7 view of the town of Puerto Vallarta with the magnificent backdrop of the Sierra Madre mountains. We are less than 10 minutes to the airport and about 10 minutes ride to the center of we can walk the fabulous Malecon. Nightly, the malecon is bustling with activitiy. The people watching is excellent but there are many nights where one can enjoy a free concert, or an acrobatic show. In the square in front of the Cathedral there are often local bands who play and the locals come there for dancing under the stars.

There are various community theaters that are so easily accessible and affordable. The new Teatro is excellent with many excellent, professional artists performing. The choices of restaurants, spas and various activities is vast. It is very easy to get "involved" in this wonderful community where the locals and other North American visitors and residents blend together so well.

Safety and security in Puerto Vallarta is safer than just about any where else in the world I have visited.
