Very nice place in beautiful setting. Plenty of privacy. The owner was prompt answering my questions. We made use of the outdoor fireplace (have to take your own wood.) Kitchen is well stocked. We were able to cook a couple of meals. Two slight downsides: no king bed, only queens, and if you prefer to drink your wine, cocktails, champagne from an actual glass, take your own. All glasses were plastic - not good for drinking the above drinks. Overall, a wonderful place to stay.
Be ready to experience peace and tranquillity. This home is the epitome of character and history. So many details to experience inside and then outside… just wow! I love a covered porch so you can sit outside in the rain and it did rain. The fireplace outside was left from the original cabin, it was perfect. You feel like you are out in the middle of nowhere but only 10 minutes from town. I cannot recommend this cabin enough. I will say the third room is not a private room it is in a loft but still… 100 stars on this one! Book it now!
We were looking for a place to disconnect and relax, and the Kelley Reed did not disappoint! Tucked away on a quiet hill, the cabin really does feel like you're stepping back in time. We loved the decor and cozy feel --you can tell when a place was well-loved, and this cabin certain has been! Kitchen was stocked with everything we needed to cook meals, but also only a short distance away from Nashville for good dining options. The outdoor fireplace was one of our favorite features --perfect for scary stories and s'mores. Plenty of games stocked to play as a family. Cabin was clean and exactly as described. We all enjoyed our stay and would definitely stay here again!
A bit of trouble getting in, saw a mouse, several house flies, but we loved the cabin. Had everything we needed. Firewood would have been nice for a cold rainy night.
My husband and I loved the cabin. Very roomy and decorated so cute. We brought our pup and enjoyed the town of Nashville. We hiked so many trails! Perfect way to spend 3 days!
Loved the setting, the cabin, the decor… it was a perfect fall weekend in Brown County and the closeness to Nashville food and shopping only made it better.
Was a great weekend getaway with my friend. House is exactly as pictures show! Charming, cozy and close to Nashville, IN. Lovely remote location. Comfortable beds, hot water and good wifi. Certainly recommend!
We absolutely loved our stay. The cabin was comfortable and cozy. It had easy access to Nashville which made day excursions fun and easy! We look forward to booking it again!! One thing I would like to note is the mattress in the 1st floor bedroom needs to be replaced as was worn and caused disruption in sleep. That was the only negative and I think one easily rectified.

Thank you so much! We will take a look into your concerns
Look no further! If you love nature, vintage cabins/decor with modern conveniences this is the place for you. Wouldn’t change a thing—absolutely wonderful stay. Bring a good book and your hiking boots and reset!
Cozy cabin in heart of brown county, loved the story behind the cabin. Beautiful porches and old books to read. Improvements-Kitchenware needs updating, windows sill had dead flies that were not cleaned by cleaning crew, no dishwasher if you like one and cookware is limited.

Liked: Check-in, communication, location
Disliked: Cleanliness
During our stay the smell of smoke inside the cabin was so strong it was sickening burning our noses and throats. We tried to only go inside to sleep. Surprised no dishwasher!Location was nice.Definitely not clean inside.
The pictures definitely make the property look better than it actually is. Small upgrades to the kitchen would go a long way. Leaving at least a log or two for the fireplace would have been a nice touch after a 4PM check-in. Wi-Fi password was a challenge to find and should have been provided ahead of time with check-in information . I realize the cabin is in the woods, but mice were running around in the gutters all night and after zero sleep, I decided to leave a day early. Possibly some traps are needed. Upstairs toilet wasn’t flushing. Someone did contact me the next day about coming to fix the toilet and I told her I had already made the decision to leave early, so they could handle after I left. The bathtub was great, but I only had enough hot water to fill halfway. I hope this survey can provide helpful information for improving the property. Thank you!
