Everyone in my group had a great time. The house was beautiful, and Kroger grocery delivey service was a game changer! The lake views were stunning. Bonus points for the downstairs bathroom :)!
The property was clean and as described. The views of the lake are amazing and very serene. The large deck with ample seating was the highlight of the stay. It’s a hike down to the lake which was a bummer for the elders in our group who didn’t get to experience it. The basement level bathroom upgrades were gorgeous, but the main level needs some TLC. The shower knobs were loose and fell off at one point, but easily rectified. The upstairs beds could use some new mattresses or toppers at a minimum. We had a more mature group, so comfort is big when traveling. The kitchen is well appointed and had everything we needed. The microwave is in a cabinet on the island, which is unique. Overall, it was a great trip! We had a great time with our multigenerational family trip. I would recommend this location for younger families or groups. Would be perfect for a girls/guys trip. If you have bad knees, the lakes a no go, sorry!

House needs lots of work. But overall met the needs of the reason for renting. Was very quick to answer when the water would not get hot. I would put a note over the hot water heater buttons to not turn off.

Thank you for your feedback. We’re sorry to hear the home did not meet your expectations. The property was fully renovated in 2024, including a finished basement with six built-in bunk beds and a full bathroom. While many updates were made, we intentionally preserved some of the rustic cabin character rather than making every element brand new.
During your stay, the only concern brought to our attention was the hot water, which we addressed promptly. We would have welcomed the opportunity to resolve any additional issues had we been made aware of them.
We strive to provide an accurate representation of the home and a positive experience for all guests, so general comments about the property “needing work” without specific details may not reflect the experience most guests have had. We’re always open to constructive feedback and would appreciate any additional details you’re willing to share.
This was the perfect place to feel rustic minus the modern white brick and granite countertops. The wood plank vaulted ceilings combined with the super large windows overlooking the wooded area leading to the lake was priceless. Definitely rate a 10:10!!
The house was such a wonderful place to stay. Our boy’s loved the basement with the smart tv and arcade games and the view was outstanding. Smith Lake is one of our favorite lakes. If you bring a boat, Trident and Smith Lake Marina are both close by with restaurants accessible by boat. We preferred Trident between the two. Rebecca was very responsive and friendly. Would definitely return.
Wish there were more pots and pans and drinking glasses. The house was a little musty smelling. Nice that there was plenty of paper towels and dish soap. The bathroom on the main floor was a little hard to shower in felt unsafe.
Lakebound and down was a nice place to stay, our grandkids absolutely LOVED the basement area with all their beds together and it was nice for the adults because it helped with the noise level. We weren't prepared for the 160 stair steps down to the lake. With 4 children under the age of 5 it had its challenges. Overall we had a really good time and the house served our family needs well
Great spot with an amazing view! The sleeping spaces worked out great for our big group and the arcade games were a hit with a kids. A little more stairs down than we were anticipating, but we spent a solid 6 hours a day swimming off the dock. So fun, we will be back!
