Mountain Perch

Our almost new log home (finished in 2012) is a paradise for those who like comfort, convenience, and unbeatable views of the mountain range.
This fabulous family getaway is situated at the entry to Breckenridge. Within three minutes (1.3 miles) of driving you can find yourselves in the historical downtown with fabulous shopping, restaurants, visitor center, and river walk. It takes the same amount of time to reach the base of gondola which will transport you to one of America's top ski slopes under a sunny, azure Colorado sky and the recreation center with its pools, sauna, hot tub, tennis, squash, climbing wall, and all possible exercise equipment is yet another 5 minutes away from our home. The ice ring and Nordic center take about ten minutes to get to. If you need a ride the free shuttle bus stops 0.8 mile down the hill.
If you come in the summer, hiking, kayaking, fishing, golfing, and many other activities await in a close distance.
When you return from the endless activities, or if you simply stay in and relax, you can unwind by watching our cable/streaming TV, browsing the internet, playing provided board games, enjoying the unbeatable views from the covered “perch”, soaking in the hot tub or sweating in the dry Finnish sauna.
There are numerous dining opportunities in Breckenridge as well as in nearby resorts and towns but if you choose to be your own chef, our modern kitchen will not disappoint you. All appliances and kitchen equipment are there to support your culinary creativity.

We love to have kids as our guests but please consider that the home is not child proof and there are some open staircases since the main living is on the second floor.

In the snow season winter tires are MUST for traveling in the mountains and for inexperienced mountain drivers a 4x4 car is advisable.

Great place with fantastic views!

Very nice, comfortable cabin/house with fantastic views, hot tub, and sauna. Comfortable furniture and beds. Plenty of room for us 4 adults. Easy communication with the owner. The snow covered driveway does require a 4-wheel drive or tire chains.

Spectacular view

Had a great time staying in the cabin. Up on a hill overlooking the Breckinridge slopes and town. Super close to town. Wish there was another room for adults. Kitchen had everything you’d need and a grill outside to boot. Made use of the sauna and hot tub. Overall a great place for the two of us to have a romantic weekend.

Close yet secluded

We just had an amazing week of skiing then relaxing at this beautiful home. The pictures are very accurate but fail to do it justice, you have to be there and experience the views with your own eyes--just an incredible location and layout! The house was well appointed and the ability to use the hot tub and sauna after each day of skiing can't be overstated. We've stayed at several VRBOs in different mountain towns around the country and this was by far the best we've experienced so far. If you choose to stay here you will not be disappointed!

Gorgeous home with everything you need

This house is fantastic. Rooms are big, comfortable. Well equipped kitchen. We really enjoyed the sauna and hot tub area throughout our snowy weekend. Garage was appreciated. Best of both worlds distance-wise from town: very quick trip in and yet you feel secluded and quiet up on the hill. Would 100% recommend.

Beautiful house with amazing views. The house is close to the town and had everything we needed for some much deserved downtime after a long road trip. If we had one complaint about the property it would be that the TV system is outdated with no ability to connect to cable.

Romantic

Perfect view of Brecks finest slopes! The home is amazing and cozy with sauna and hot tub. The sun rises and snow storms added such romance to our stay! If you plan on watching tv I would bring your own movies as the cable was very outdated with no way to steam. Also bring your own firewood from the store but we were lucky that the lasT guests had left enough for us. We would absolutely stay there again!!

The house was perfect and we enjoyed our stay so much that we didn’t want to leave. Watching the sunset behind the mountains was beautiful. Pictures do not do this view justice. Pro tip- don’t be an over-packer like me because there are multiple steps to get into the house. With that and the altitude I thought my husband was going to pass out before he got the truck unpacked lol.

Can't wait to come back!

My family and I had a wonderful visit over the July 4th weekend. We fell in love with the home from the minute we arrived. The views from the deck are breathtaking, and the home is very comfortable. This was also the most well-stocked vacation home we've ever stayed in. We loved how close the home was to town while still feeling remote and peaceful. We also enjoyed watching the chipmunks scampering around the property :-)

5 start- beautiful home with incredible view's!

We had an amazing stay at this beautiful, clean home. The views were absolutely stunning and even better than the photos. The location was perfect—close to everything we wanted to do, but still peaceful and relaxing. The home was fully furnished with everything we needed, which made our stay super comfortable. The host was extremely accommodating and responsive, always quick to answer any questions. We couldn't have asked for a better experience and would definitely stay here again!

Lovely home with amazing views

This log cabin was an amazing place to stay - complete with breathtaking views of Breckenridge, a lovely well-equipped kitchen, a nice big screen TV, and, importantly, a wonderful hot tub and sauna. Perfect after a day on the slopes!A great location - close to town and multiple ski slopes but also private and quiet. We even got some sledding in...and saw a red fox twice! A couple of small critiques - the house was very dark at night as not all of the light fixtures worked, the walls were very dark colors, and the light bulbs/fixtures were a pale yellow color. The king mattress was very firm and the toilet paper (and kleenix) very coarse. A garage door opener would have been lovely - but the large heated garage, shelves and benches in the mudroom, and the up-to-date washer and dryer were delightful. Overall, a wonderful place to stay - we highly recommend!

Ski trip

Booked this wonderful home to use as our ski base camp for a few days. The home was as advertised with great views, great amenities, and great location. Cons:*Driveway was sketchy with our full sized truck. Needed to do some adjusting to make it up.* I know pillows are a personal choice, but we didnt find any in the house that met our preference. Pros:*Everything else. Beds were good. Hot tub and sauna were amazing, views were magnificent. All around great stay.

Beautiful Fall in Breck

This was our 5th time staying at the Breckenridge home, and it has continued to live up to expectation every single time. This was the first time our babies had a chance to experience the home with us, and they absolutely loved it. I cannot say enough good things about the property and the owners, they have always been great to us. This trip my husband actually saw a black bear in the woods by the house. It was a pretty amazing experience for him. We plan on coming back to this house, as long as they will continue to have us. We love being there!
