Hi Jane - I have just had your review through from VRBO and we are pretty devastated by your comments. You will see from our historical reviews we have never had a review this negative in all the years we have rented our property, and in fact the Guests who are in the house now are repeat guests who rented last year and would not have re-rented if this was typical of our House. I wish you had contacted me at the time regarding the poor cleaning of the house and outside kitchen, we pay a lot for a cleaning team to go in prior to any arrival and the house should have been 100% guest ready before your arrival. I have contacted our management company who I have only ever had Guests praising, requesting that they please explain their perspective on your review and I will of course come back to you once they have caught up with the cleaning team. I am not fully up to speed with the weather you encountered when you were at the house, but the house is in an agricultural area so if there are storms and heavy rain, this can cause lights to trip the electric circuits as water can get in, which is a difficult problem to prevent as it is a weather issue which is impossible to control. I understand that as soon as the management team were alerted by you that there was an issue, they got an electrician out as soon as they could and the issue was resolved, also a safety feature in exceptionally bad weather is the Gas into the house shuts off, my understanding is that when you contacted the Management Team to explain that there was no hot water they were quickly able to get you to reset this switch and therefore resolving this problem. Apparently the 1st time you alerted the team that the Dish Washer was not working was when you checked out of the house at the end of your stay, they immediately got an engineer out and it was repaired, had you let the team know during your stay then you would have definitely had the benefit of a working dish washer. You are renting a private house and as such electrical items will choose the worst times to stop working and weather conditions will sometimes have knock on effects to electrics and gas, all of which we cannot control, but it would certainly seem that the Team were very responsive to these related issues when they were alerted to them by you. I can only apologise for the experience you feel you have had during your stay, as this would never be the outcome we would want or indeed expect. Best Regards Darren and Becky

Hi William Thank you very much for your review and so glad you had a great time. I am very sorry that the bad weather impacted your enjoyment of the seating area in the outside Kitchen and Lounge area. When sunny this is a wonderful space to cook, relax and enjoy a nice shaded space out of the sun. Of course this space is still outside so it is impossible for it to be completely free of dirt and dust however I hope the cleaning team were thorough before your arrival. There is no storage area for the cushions because we have always felt it is easier for guests to just put the waterproof covers over the seating area if rain is forecast rather than attempt to relocate all the cushions. Can I just check whether the waterproof covers were used on the seating area at all? Thank you Darren and Becky

Regina and her party were excellent guests and they were very respectful of our house. Would highly recommend them and would have no hesitation in renting to them again should they ever want to return to Puglia.

Thank you for your tips and very sorry about the the short term Wi-fi issue, the engineer identified a technical fault that was repaired as soon as possible during your stay and my understanding was that there was no further problems. In terms of the seating area in front of the house, there are 8 chairs and a large sofa area in the outside kitchen that we tend to use for morning coffee and breakfast so we have chosen not to block the space at the front of the house with too much additional seating, but thank you for the recommendation. There should have been at least 2 chopping boards so I will investigate this. Thank you again.
